What is the role of the Committee?The Nomination Committee plays a critical role in soliciting and selecting qualified Candidates for the Nomination Committee Slate of CIRA’s Board of Directors Election. Its focus is to help build a Board of Directors that represents a wide range of views and interests, ultimately contribute to the strategic direction of .CA and Canadian Internet policy.

Why should this interest me?Being a Member of the CIRA Nomination Committee provides you with the opportunity to:

• Serve a two-year term with the objective of building a Member-elected Board of Directors that represents a wide range of views and interests.

• Make a valuable contribution to the strategic direction of .CA and Canadian Internet policy.

• Network and learn from professionals from across Canada.

• Gain valuable insight and experience around technical innovation, Internet policy and organizational governance.

• Select candidates at a meeting in Ottawa. Travel expenses will be reimbursed.

How do I apply?Interested individuals are invited to submit their applications between January 4 and 21. CIRA’s Board of Directors will review all applications and select the new Nomination Committee Members in February/March 2011. Selected applicants will be contacted directly.
