Aerospace is for everyone!Civil Air Patrol promotes the use of the aerospace

education theme to help educators excite and motivate their students to excel in science,

math, technology, language arts, socialstudies, and other traditional subjects.

The Aerospace Education Member(AEM) is a unique CAP member whohas access to free products andprograms designed especially tointegrate the fascinating subject ofaerospace into the curriculum. TheK-12 Aerospace Education Excellence

(AEX) Award Program, the K-6 grade-level specific Aerospace Connections in

Education (ACE) Program, the TeacherOrientation Program (TOP) Flights,

opportunities for grants and awards, and

over 20 free aerospace education products all serveto help educator members inspire their students toexplore aerospace-related careers. Teachers canalso introduce their students to CAP’s Cadet Programfor youth, ages 12-20. CAP Cadets have theopportunity to become engaged in leadershipdevelopment, character education,physical fitness, emergency services, orientation airplane flights, andaerospace career exploration. How can YOU become an Aerospace Education Member (AEM)?Civil Air Patrol is proud to offer persons who work with young people in any capacity, be it the classroom ora youth organization, the opportunity to become a CAP AEM. Membership requires no uniform; nomeetings—just a desire to use CAP’s AE programs and products to ignite the minds and spirits of youngpeople toward STEM subjects and careers. Each membership is only $35 and includes a plethora ofspecial benefits, such as:

>> receipt of over 20 free K-12 national academic standards-based STEM materials, including a full-color, 675-page comprehensive aerospace textbook
