Welcome to the week 4 Clairgate Chronicle for this

term.

Oz Tag Gala Day

Congratulations to our Oz Tag Gala Day Teams for

their amazing attitude and behaviour. A great day

everyone – well done to all. Thank you to Mr Blanch

and Mrs Thurling for their continued support for all

our extra-curricular activities. Thank you to all our

wonderful parents for always supporting us with

driving, cheering and joy!

Kindy Orientation

We have welcomed over 60 2018 Kinders to our first

Kindergarten Orientation session. The children had a

wonderful time in the Kindy classrooms with

Mrs Linnert, Mrs Murray and Miss Attinger while the

parents met in the hall. We look forward to our next

session on Wednesday, 15th November at 2.00pm.

Outstanding Teachers at Clairgate

Last Friday we celebrated World Teachers Day in NSW

and I want to acknowledge the amazing teachers we

have at Clairgate. They care for the children and go

the extra mile to ensure your children achieve their

potential. They always do the “extras” of which many

may be unaware – overnight excursions, staying back

for discos, parent meeting sessions, performances…all

of these are extras that our amazing teachers want to

do for your children. A huge thank you to our

wonderful teachers and staff for all their hard work.

Backyard League Footy Clinics

Backyard League is an NRL Development

promotion for schools. It involves NRL staff

visiting our school and running a series of free

clinics to promote sport skills, coordination and

fitness. Each class will have 3 sessions (30

minutes each) during term 4. These footy clinic

sessions will occur on 6th November, 13th

November and 20th November.

Final Sport Assembly

Clairgate’s Final Sport Assembly will be held in

the school hall on Tuesday 28th November

(2pm). Awards to be presented include:

PSSA Best & Fairest Players, Boys & Girls Sports

Persons of the year, plus much more! All

WHITE RIBBON

All Public Schools across St Clair and Erskine Park have recently

joined together to support White Ribbon Australia. White

Ribbon is a national campaign that aims to prevent violence.

On Wednesday 22nd November (Week 7) Clairgate Public School

will be holding a mufti day to raise funds for White Ribbon

Australia.

This mufti day will be held across all St Clair and Erskine Park Public

Schools to encourage ‘respectful relationships’ and help bring an

end to violence in our community.

Students are asked to wear white clothes on this day and bring a

gold coin donation.
