THE SCRAPS First and foremost my apologies. I was not able to publish a Spring/Summer newsletter. I was quite ill leading up to and during the month of April. I only worked a couple of half-hour shifts to get reports ready for filing. My staff, as usual, was amazing! They jumped right in and kept the store on track. I count my blessings every day for my good fortune. My mom & I did manage to make it to Germany in May. What a great time we had. I don’t think we realize how lucky we are with the quilt shops here in this country. Nothing like it to be found in Europe! Our 13th anniversary is coming up at the end of August. Check out page 2 for our sale details. For those involved in our Block-a-week Hex-a-thon, keep in mind that we would like to have a showing of quilts next spring/summer. Information Sheets At Katja’s we realize that not everyone in the world is as fortunate as we are. In this vein we are raising donations with the sale of what we call information sheets. These contain a simple set of black & white instructions (not an in-depth pattern). The sheets will assist you in making a project from a Jelly Roll, Charm Squares etc. They are available for a nominal donation (minimum $2.00) to a cause of the designers choosing. Class sizes are limited to ensure you receive the best instruction. We offer high quality teachers & the biggest, brightest classroom around. Full payment is required upon registration, in person or over the phone. If you are unable to attend & give us 7 days notice, we will give you an in-store credit or refund. Less than 7 days, no refund/credit will be given. In the event we cancel a class you will receive a store credit or a refund. We will give you a supply list when you register and offer you a 15% discount on supplies purchased for one of our classes. Please purchase your supplies prior to the day of the class.
