CLASSROOM PROCEDURES
Welcome to room 303
Ms. Anderson’s Classroom Lincoln High School
• We’re going to have a Wonderful Semester together.• Have Positive Expectations!• The Procedures we learn today will
help us create a Highly Efficient and Orderly Classroom.
Welcome !
Why procedures?• Without procedures, you do not
know what I expect of you.• Procedures facilitate efficiency.• To do things right, we have to
follow some simple procedures, for example:– To place a call on your phone, you
need to enter the number in the right order.
Arrival • Make sure you have all necessary
materials for the class.• Enter the classroom quietly.• Go directly to your assigned seat.• Begin your “Do Now” in your
journal– Write in complete sentences.
• When finished wait quietly for direction
During Instruction • Listen with full attention.• No pencil sharpening, talking, or
whispering.• Take notes.• Want to speak, raise your hand. • Ask questions related to the topic.
– Other questions can be asked later.• Make sure you understand the
concept. If not, ASK QUESTIONS by mentioning which part you didn’t understand.
Team/ lab group Expectations • Within your team you will be
assigned a duty. For example; facilitator, liaison, reporter, etc. In lab these roles will be chef, sous chef etc.
• No side conversations during team activities, all team members focused on the task at hand.
• You must contribute proportionately to your team.
Don’t let this be you
Turn in/ Storage• Double check for your name, Place things to turn in into your
folder. Place your folder into your class crate. – Use your planner and see me if you have special circumstances that
arise.
• You may also place your journal into these crates if you choose to keep them in class.
Lab procedures• Use delegations/jobs• Hair tied back, sleeves rolled up, aprons on• End of lab aprons hung up, dirty towels in
washer• Demonstrate 21st century skills and
employability skills• Kitchen checks, before dismissed
– Proper storage, cleanliness, dryness of sink etc. – Stay in kitchens until checked and leave aprons on
until then
End of Class Dismissal • I will inform you when it is time for class
dismissal, do not stop working until then.• Upon dismissal, you should save your
work in the designated folder/binder/area.• Clean-up your work area, no garbage
around your area or employability points will not be awarded. • When I say “Have a good day” you are
dismissed to leave.
Discipline Procedure • 1st Offense - Verbal Warning/non
verbal warning• 2nd Offense - Verbal Warning/non
verbal warning • 3rd Offense- Reflection form and
meeting• 4th Offense- Reevaluate / detention• 5th Offense - Call to Parents/
detention• 6th Offense - Office Referral
Absent Procedure • Collect assignments from the
Absent box from the correct folder.
• If you have questions ask 3 before me.
• If you missed a test, arrange a time to make up the test.
– You will have one day to make-up work for every day you are absent.
