December.
There will be an end of term assembly on Thursday 15th

deserving students for their consistency and sustained
improvement over the course of the year. As always, parents
and family members are most welcome to attend.

December in the school hall, commencing at 6.15pm with our
talented musicians performing prior to the official starting time
of 6.30pm. Students who are receiving awards are expected to
wear full school uniform. I look forward to seeing you there to
celebrate the achievements of our talented and driven students.
POP payments

December parents will be able to
make payments online through the school website to pay for
excursions, school fees and so on. This is a secure site which
provides the advantage of allowing you to bank from home.

Ballarat Excursion
Thank you to Mr Watts, Mr Jay and Ms Davies and our
fantastic parent helpers for organising, managing and
supervising the very enjoyable and successful excursion to
Ballarat. Mr Watts is still recovering as we speak.
Congratulations to our Secondary Cricketers
I was very proud to have received a phone call from the
Principal of Gulargambone Central School to praise our
victorious secondary cricket team for their outstanding
sportsmanship and respectful interactions with other teams
during the course of the state carnival. Again, another excellent
example of how fantastic our students are and how lucky we are
to have such a sensational group of young men in our midst.

Cricket Finals
Coleambally won the “Open Central Schools 40 over” Cricket
Knockout competition, dominating at the State Finals in Dubbo
last week. They played Molong in the semi-final, batting first
and finishing with 6/200 after the 40 overs. Top scorers were
Josh Fattore and Ryan Mannes with 77 and 33. The bowling
attack was relentless with Thomas Fattore finishing with top
figures on 3/6 after getting an impressive hatrick and Jack
Cullen contributing with 2/7 to bowl Molong out for 65 and
make the final against Gulargambone. Coleambally batted first
in the final and again stayed in for all 40 overs finishing on
their highest total yet of 7/225. Top scorers were Cooper Smith
with 80 and Ryan on 27. The bowling was a team effort with
each team member bowling an over and six players sharing the
wickets. Best figures came from Thomas Bowditch and Chris
Hayes both with 2/1. Coleambally bowled Gulargambone out
for 95 after 35 overs winning the match and the State Final.
Player of final was awarded to Captain Cooper after top
scoring in the batting and a tremendous catch in the field.
Thank you to Mr. Brett Burton, Simon Mackie and Mick Breed
for transporting the students to the round games and finals in
Dubbo, umpiring and assisting the boys. Congratulation team
on not only winning the finals, but also for the sportsmanship
and teamwork you demonstrated throughout the competition.
