What is the NAD College Bowl?
• An academic quiz bowl competition, similar to the Academic Bowl
• First held in 1988• Held every two years during the NAD conference• Teams: Gallaudet, NTID/RIT, Cal State Northridge• More schools may participate in 2012
Format• Three rounds, 18 questions per round• Difficulty level: Comparable to Academic Bowl playoffs
• Categories• Art and Literature• Current Events• Deaf History and Culture• Entertainment• Geography• History• Mathematics• Science, Technology, and Nature• Sports and Leisure
Scoring
• Round 1: One point per correct answer• Round 2: Three points per correct answer• Round 3: Five points per correct answer
• Challenges• Category is shown• Team may “challenge”• Correct answer: earn double points• Incorrect answer: lose double points
