Aims & Objectives
● Aim – To Explore the 4th Area of Cooperation:- “Me and My Native Land” - [Comenius Project]
● Objectives- To understand and demonstrate the difference between England, United Kingdom and the British Isles
● To analyse own and others understanding of “Native Land” and it's relation to National Identity and Citizenship
● To self and peer assess own knowledge about the 4 Nations of the UK and expand that knowledge through communication and group work
Native Land:- Definition● adjective● 1.being the place or environment in which a
person was born or a thing came into being:● “one's native land.”● A homeland (rel. country of origin and native land)
is the concept of the place (cultural geography) with which an ethnic group holds a long history and a deep cultural association —the country in which a particular national identity began. As a common noun, it simply connotes the country of one's origin.

Group WorkFor the Four Countries of the United Kingdom
Identify – What you know about them● Think about Traditions and Culture e.g. Food,
Drink, Dances, Music and Songs● What stereoptypes are there about the different
Nations?● What Ancestrial links/ backgrounds do we have in
the team
In your country groups● Try to draw your country (without the others
attached) on a flip chart● Create a flip chart/ poster to represent your
country● Give a brief presentation about your country● Feedback to the others what you know, add things
that others offer● Assess the knowledge of self and the group out
of 5 (5 being Excellent and 1 being Poor)
