MOGSEC 2018 is a unique event as it is the ONLY platform showcasing Malaysia’s Oil & Gas service providers. The event saw a huge participation from organisations and individuals involved within the whole Oil & Gas value chain, and some of the region’s biggest industry players such as PETRONAS, Sapura Energy Berhad, Velesto Energy Berhad, MMC Oil & Gas Engineering Sdn Bhd, to name a few. The show was also sponsored by big names in the industry, Sapura Energy Berhad, Serba Dinamik, and TM One. With full support from PETRONAS, as well as stakeholders; MATRADE, MIDA, MPRC, MyCEB, CIDB, SHELL, BMCC, MOGSEC 2018 clearly achieved its objective to place Malaysia as the regional hub for Oil & Gas and encourages collaboration and efforts of local Oil & Gas service provides.

MOGSEC 2018 was officiated by YBhg Tan Sri Wan Zulkiflee Wan Ariffin, President and Group CEO of PETRONAS and followed by special addressfrom YB Datuk Darell Leiking, Minister of International Trade& Industry (MITI).
MATRADE has successfully staged the INSP in conjunction with MOGSEC 2018. The one-to-one business meeting has resulted in a total sales of USD97 million (RM397.90 million) derived from a total of 86 business meetings involving 34 Malaysian companies. The final number of foreign buyers were 8.
Professionals and major players of the Oil & Gas industry gathered to conduct technical talks during the exhibition, presenting technical seminars, covering various topics.
The MOGSC SME Pavilion, made up of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) from MOGSC members that showcased local Oil & Gas innovations and the latest solutions.
The inaugural MOGSEC Innovation Awards was held throughout the three-day event, providing a platform to recognise and honour companies and individuals who are at the forefront of innovation to produce products and services that is novel in nature, to spur the innovation and commercialisation culture among Oil & Gas services and equipment providers as well as associated stakeholders.
After a busy day at the exhibition, exhibitors and other invited guests gathered at Tujo Bar-Serrie & Grill Restaurant, Kuala Lumpur to mingle and network.

Sabah & Sarawak PavilionsSupported by SHELL, the Sabah & Sarawak pavilions consisted of Oil & Gas service and equipment providers from the two states where they showcased their products and services and discussed opportunities of doing businesses in Sabah and Sarawak.
The Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) organised a series of Business Consultation Clinic (Biz Clinic) throughout MOGSEC 2018 to network and connect potential investors and companies, particularly in Oil & Gas services related activities companies with MIDA and the relevant Government departments and agencies. SIEMENS also opened a Digitalisation Audit Counter at the MIDA booth to facilitate companies/visitors to provide first hand analysis on the readiness of Digitalisation/4.0 initiatives based on the company’s parameters.
