Pr�ect Back��nd:Cedar Farm Inn is unveiling their new logo, as they begin to add an event center to their current bed and breakfast. New designs were needed to attract customers of all ages and demographics, instead of the older demographic they primarily attract. The new designs must combine the old-fashioned, traditional feel of the inn, but also incorporate a more minimalistic design to represent the upcoming event center as well.

T�get Audience:Cedar Farm Inn is appropriate for people of all ages and backgrounds, but they primarily cater to older citizens (50 years old and older) due to the geographic location and surrounding attractions.

C�petiti�:Five Fillies F�m: It was established in 2007, and it features a wedding barn and horse training facilities. The property was a former Amish farm, and the owners strive tomaintain its authenticity. The 3,300 square foot wedding barn was built in 1905, and it can seat 200 guests.

The Jacqueline H�se of Wilmingt�: This inn has very similar accommodations and amenities as Cedar Farm Inn. The residence houses 4 fully-furnished rooms, includes an outside pool. The owners also welcome business groups and other special events

Candlef�d Inn: It is open year-round after renovations in 2002, and it is located Volant, Pa., within walking distance of over 30 shops and restaurants, excellent fly fishing in Neshannock Creek. The inn houses 4 bedrooms with a queen sized bed and a private bathroom.

Additi�al Inf�mati�:Cedar Farm Inn is a small, locally owned in located on State Route 208, in Pulaski Township, in the midst of the Amish countryside. The inn has a peaceful and serene environment, perfect for its guest to unwind and relax from their everyday tasks. The property has a spacious backyard, wrap around porch and tap room, where they host special events. They are currently transitioning to become a bed and breakfast, along with an event center. They have hosted several weddings and other gatherings in the taproom over the last calendar year.

The inn has three private bedrooms, the Montana, Pennsylvania and Arizona rooms. Each room comes furnished, complete with a queen sized bed and a private bathroom. There is a small beverage and linen station located on the second floor with the bedrooms for the guests’ convenience. On the first floor, there are comfortable living and dining rooms, along with an eat-in kitchen that the guests are allowed to use duringtheir stay.

In spite of its idyllic location in a very rural area, Cedar Farm Inn is closely located to several of the major highways and local attractions, such as the Apple Castle and Grove City Outlets. The owners provide local maps for the area, and they help the guests plan out their stay if they need help or don’t know what to visit. The inn is also located 50 minutes north of Pittsburgh, Pa.

Client Int�view: Why did y� f�nd Ced� F�m Inn? “Lynn fell in love with the area while visiting her sister who lives nearby in Hermitage. After working in real estate for many years she felt it was time to start a new chapter in her live with this being her retirement venture.”

What �e the key pieces of inf�mati� y� want potential clients to kn� ab�t the inn? “Enjoy an exceptional breakfast amid 27 acres of meadows, Amish farms, and apple orchards. The Inn is an environmentally conscious and Earth friendly home. We offer the perfect venue,indoors or out, for weddings, rehearsals, graduations, reunions, or business meetings. It is an ideal place to entertain inside or out, on the decks or porches. We can arrange a tent for large venues, catering, decorations, and entertainment. In fact, we can plan the whole gathering.

H� do y� think y�r inn is diff�ent �� oth� �es in the �ea? “There is only one other Inn close by. We offer a more private experience where people can relax and enjoy a more private retreat. The vast property filled with beautiful gardens, meadows, porches, and a 1/2 mile walking trail is something no other B&B can offer. We are also very unique because after you have an event on the grounds/Tap Room you don't have to leave. You can continue to enjoy your stay for the evening at the B&B.”

Signage Example:

I believe this type of signage would work for Cedar Farm Inn because they currently have this chalkboard on their front porch, but they often don’t use it to its potential. They could paint the logo in the upper left corner, and then write the event details or a simple message for everyone who stays at the inn to see. They can use this chalkboard, and it would be relatively inexpensive to get their logo out there for others to see and hopefully remember.
