Services We Provide 4.0 The Anslow Partnership I Company Profile
TAP can offer dynamic simulation modelling in conjunction with full building services design. This approach ensures that all the information created during modelling is not ‘lost in translation’ in the final design & construction process. Having this process in-house also means architectural changes made during the process are fully incorporated and any effects on building performance can be easily quantified. IES Modelling is useful at any stage of the project life-cycle. It can be used to inform architectural decision making, such as glazing or shading elements, as well as sizing building services equipment on the final design. The 3D modelling gives a visual representation which allows in-depth discussion between owners and the project design team.
DSM uses relevant construction material properties, glazing properties, shading and internal gains to determine building performance. This performance is measured using local weather & solar data, in ten minute timesteps across an entire year. DSM is required for buildings which contain complex architectural features, such as atriums. DSM is accepted as more accurate and versatile than SBEM methods. IES is a cutting-edge suite of building performance simulation tools. Used by leading sustainable design experts across the globe, it creates understanding of the performance impacts of different low-energy design strategies.
DSM is used for: • Design, Architectural & Building Services • Construction Material Performance Comparisons • Building Energy Modelling • Energy Performance Certificates • Part L2A Compliance / BREEAM • Condensation Analysis

Management and Office Structure 7.0 The Anslow Partnership I Company Profile
TAP has extensive experience of the design of engineering services in the office and end user environment. This emphasises the importance of the following issues during design. • Every project is a unique opportunity and will be considered as such. • The need to develop a deep knowledge and understanding of the project
brief and design requirements. • The need to establish a good understanding of the project drivers and
objectives to ensure solutions are appropriate and work first time. • The need to develop a total team culture to be effective and successful. • A proactive approach to ensure very careful management of the change
process post client sign off. • The need to promote parallel design working with other professionals to
optimise the design program. • The selection of appropriate contractors, manufacturers and equipment to
gain best value, reliability, commitment and certainty. • Ensuring the continuity of staff and a consistency of approach across all
phases of the commission which will contribute to a successful outcome.
The opportunity to achieve the project objectives will be realised by a determined, experienced and imaginative approach. A good and effective design solution is achieved where regard has been paid to function, quality and cost and these have been developed and optimised. We manage uncertainty and conflicting demands and minimise the opportunity for error by employing: • Strategic briefing at the outset – to establish high level issues. • Comparison with existing reference projects. • Detailed briefing sessions with the team. • Gaining secure design approvals by agreed stages. • The design being completed to an appropriate level to ensure coordination in
principle is achieved for cost and time certainty.
Our aim is to minimise risks by the appropriate use of tools and project disciplines, including:
• Risk analysis • Value engineering • Option reviews and discussions • Cost reviews

Our Clients like what we do to support them. We want their comments and feedback, and here is what some say:
“The TAP team, and David Anslow in particular, provided us with an outstanding service on our move to new premises. This comprised both the mainstream M&E services but also the more specialist telecoms/IT project. The service was sufficiently impressive for us to appoint TAP as our M&E Consultants on a longer term contract. Your expertise made a critical contribution to the overall success of the finished product.”
Dorsey & Whitney LLP
“Overall, I have found TAP to be extremely responsive with prompt turn around of all requests. TAP are always willing to assist in any circumstances.”
JPMorgan Chase
Turner & Townsend
“Fantastic job done by all on the completion of Levels 4 & 5 for the new Microsoft Skype Headquarters. All I keep hearing are compliments on what a wonderful job the team has done and how great the space looks. Thank you for your input and hard work on this project.”
Mace Limited
“A very successful project under difficult circumstances in that TAP had reduced duties along with weak ER’s to deal with. Huge thanks to TAP for assisting ISG in managing DFID’s expectations.”
ISG Plc
“We advanced the M&E services aspects of our real estate to a place that is unrecognisable from where we departed 2 years ago. It is because TAP took the time to understand our needs, interpret our requirements, design the appropriate system for us.”
