Competency based language teaching is an application of the principles of competency based education to language teaching.

CBE is an educational movement that focuses on outcomes or output of learning

CBLT is to enable students to become autonomous individuals.

CBLT will improve the quality assessment

CBLT will improve the student learning by the clear specification.

CBLT teaches language as a function of communication.
