CONAX MACHINE SOLUTIONS PTY LTD was founded in 2011. The business started out building customised mining equipment and industrial machines based on client requests, as well as refurbishing, repairing and servicing existing equipment. CMS has since expanded to develop its own range of equipment.
The company is based in Springs on the East Rand of Gauteng Province, South Africa. The company's quality management system has been certified to the ISO9001:2015 international standard by the SABS. CMS is 51.6% black owned and qualifies as a Level 2 BBBEE service provider.

MINING EQUIPMENTROOFBOLTERS / FACE DRILLSThe CMR7 Mantis Roofbolter/Face Drill is a flameproof electro/hydraulic crawler rig. Dependent on which feedframe is fitted, the Mantis can be used for rotary drilling & roofbolting or face drilling applications.

HORIZONTAL EXPLORATION DRILLSThe CFD-FASA1000 Series Horizontal Exploration Drill was designed for horizontal exploration drilling and coring, with the purpose of detecting geological anomalies, such as dykes, methane pockets and water reservoirs.The machine is electro/hydraulically powered, trailer mounted and is available with: fixed wheel, drag steeror, crawler track, skid steer options.

INDUSTRIAL MACHINESGLASS WOOL LAMINATING & PACKAGING PRODUCTION LINEOur standard offering includes a foil dispenser, glue station, glass wool unwind station, guillotine, plastic dispensing conveyor with hot wire cutter and hot melt glue applicator, roll up station and heat shrink station with auto eject. The solution is P.L.C controlled.
MINING EQUIPMENTMOBILE FLAMEPROOF COMPRESSORSOur compressor offering is limited to mobile flameproof compressors, ranging in capacity from 440 CFM up to 750 CFM.Compressors are finished to mine & client specification.

UTILITY VEHICLES (MAINTENANCE CARS)Our CMS-UV20B Utility Vehicle is electro/hydraulic, wheel drive with skid steer.The unit is flameproof and comes complete with a 2 tonne crane, outriggers, oil transfer tank, oil transfer pump, compressor, air receiver, working deck with bench vice and side mounted tool cabinets.
MOBILE WORKING PLATFORMSCMS produces a standard range of mobile working platforms, in addition we design and manufacture to client specification.All platforms are certified by a professional engineer and are load tested to the design requirements.

HYDRAULIC POWER PACKS & RAMSHydraulic power packs and hydraulic rams and cylinders are designed and built to client requirements.Power packs range up to 55kW.CMS has designed and manufactured hollow core stressing jacks up to 1 kilo-tonne capacity.
INDUSTRIAL MACHINESCABLE ANCHOR PRODUCTION LINEOur cable anchor production line is available with varying degrees of P.L.C automation.The standard line includes electro/hydraulic power pack, dispenser, hydraulic feed unit, cut off saw or cropper, dust extraction, feed table with length counter, blocking unit or bulbing unit, crimper and recoiler.

EQUIPMENT RENTALDepending on the availability of used equipment and/or the duration of rental, CMS can provide equipment rental solutions.
TRAINING – OPERATOR & TECHNICIANSOur M.Q.A certified assessors and trainers provide training to both operate and maintain our equipment.
Operators are trained to operate the equipment and conduct basic care and maintenance. During the on the job training phase each candidate is tested to confirm that they are competent to operate the equipment.
Technical staff – (Fitters, Electricians & Millwrights) are trained when and how to conduct inspections on the equipment. They are also trained to carry out all routine maintenance using O.E.M. supplied components.
DESIGN – CUSTOMISED EQUIPMENT SOLUTIONSOur team of engineers and technicians offer customers a design service to develop bespoke equipment and system solutions from conceptual design through to full scale production.
The design team makes use of the latest C.A.D packages and modelling techniques to render ideas.
REFURBISHMENT, REPAIRS & SERVICING OF MINING AND INDUSTRIAL EQUIPMENTCMS has well equipped workshops and a large team of skilled artisans and technicians to perform services, repairs and rebuilds of it’s own range of equipment, as well as that of other original equipment manufacturers.
STEEL FABRICATIONOur fabrication workshop offers C.N.C. plasma cutting and general fabrication services. We have a team of qualified Boilermakers and Coded Welders that provide a quality service.

Designed to operate off the Mantis auxiliary hydraulic circuit. Control valving is customized to suit the application and host machine hydraulic system.
HYDRAULIC PRESSURE INTENSIFIERCM-HI5 Hydraulic grout intensifier has a 4 times intensification and can deliver up to 5lpm at 80Mpa. Control valving is customized to suit the application and host machine hydraulic system. A standard kit has been designed to operate off the Mantis auxiliary hydraulic circuit.
