KEYNOTE: Story MusgraveStory Musgrave was born in 1935 on a dairyfarm in Stockbridge, MA. He was in the forestsalone at 3 and by 5 floated his homebuilt rafts onthe rivers. He rode combines at 5, drove trucksand tractors at 10 and when alone in remotefields, repaired them by 13. Story never finishedschool, ran off to Korea with the U.S. Marineswhere he was an aircraft electrician and an
engine mechanic. He started flying with the Marines and over the next 55years accumulated 18,000 hours in over 160 aircraft. He is a parachutistwith over 800 freefalls. He has 7 graduate degrees in math, computers,chemistry, medicine, physiology, literature and psychology. He has beenawarded 20 honorary doctorates. He was a part-time trauma surgeon duringhis 30 year astronaut career. Story was an NASA astronaut for over 30 yearsand flew on six spaceflights. He performed the first shuttle spacewalk onChallenger's first flight, was a pilot on an astronomy mission, conducted twoclassified DOD missions, was the lead spacewalker on the Hubble Telescoperepair mission and on his last flight, he operated an electronic chipmanufacturing satellite on Columbia.

Asphalt Education Certificate TracksThis certificate program presented by the Rocky Mountain Asphalt Education Center (RMAEC) in association with the Rocky Mountain AsphaltConference and Equipment Show (RMACES) will provide a Certificate of Achievement for attendee’s who pre-register to be in the training program.The opportunities to achieve the Certificate are within either the Maintenance track sessions, Materials track sessions or the Equipment andOperators track sessions. Attendees will be afforded the opportunity to pre-register to be a part of the certificate program when they register forthe RMACES. To achieve a certificate the candidate will be required to complete the registration form and pay the additional $50.00 fee. On theregistration form they must indicate their choice of “Maintenance”, “Materials” or “Equipment and Operator” Training certificate.
At the beginning of each of the required sessions (The sessions which candidates will be required to attend may be found on page 5 of thisbrochure), the candidate will sign in and obtain a copy of the written test for that session from the session host. At the end of the session they will berequired to complete the test and return it to the session host making sure the host properly notes the test was returned. NO tests will be acceptedlate (After the beginning of the next scheduled session.) Candidates seeking the Maintenance Training Certificate will also be required to attend theoutdoor demonstration (Session 4) as a part of the process, check in with the host, obtain the written test, and complete the test pertaining to theoutdoor demonstrations. Once enrolled in the sessions they will be required to successfully complete the written tests for each of the sessions andhave a combined average score of not less than 80% correct to achieve the Certificate.
