Congratulations! Congratulations to the 93 candidates who received the Sacrament
of Confirmation at St. Louis Church on Sunday, April 17,
2016. Sixty-seven candidates were from St. Louis and 26
were from Holy Family. Msgr. William Stumpf was the celebrant.
I would like to thank the candidates for taking their faith seriously and seeking this
important step in their faith life, the sponsors for supporting the candidates on their
journey, the parents for encouraging and supporting their children to grow in their
faith, the teachers and catechists for preparing the candidates, and the parishioners
for praying for our candidates. I would also like to thank the musicians for making
the ceremony beautiful, the sacristan for making everything happen behind the
scenes, the ministers of hospitality for welcoming our guests and serving at the
reception, and all those that helped prepare for and cleanup after the
ceremony. Working with our youth is a team effort and I am blessed to be part of
such a great team. Thank you! Sincerely, Amy Tonges

40 Days for Life—Thank You From Mary Clark – Cincinnati 40 Days for Life campaign coordinator: My sincere
thanks to all St. Louis parishioners who were an integral part of the recently
completed Lenten prayer campaign either by sacrificing their time and
convenience to stand in public prayer at Planned Parenthood or who were united
to them through their prayers at home or in church. Your peaceful witness
continues to keep the truth of the sanctity of human life before the public’s
eyes. During this “Year of Mercy,” may the Lord reveal to each individual how He
desires you to extend God’s mercy to all who have been touched by abortion in any
way.
Catholic Home Missions Collection The Catholic Home Missions Appeal works to support home mission dioceses in
the United States that are unable to fund important pastoral works including lay
ministry training. Home mission dioceses rely on lay ministers, because parishes
are often hundreds of miles apart and priests cannot get to every parish each
weekend. Please help strengthen the Church at home through your generosity to
this Appeal. The collection will be taken up at Masses this weekend.
Book & Media Donations Needed Friends of the Batesville Memorial Public Library are seeking book and media
donations for their used book and media sale. Gently used books, CD’s, books on
tape and DVDs can be placed in the library lobby bins during library hours. There is
a great need for children’s books. Outdated encyclopedias, VHS tapes, magazines
and textbooks are not needed. All sale proceeds help pay for library materials and
various cultural and educational programs for the community. Thank you!
Tyson Senior Nutrition Activity Center The Senior Nutrition Center is open to anyone who may be in need of a hot meal.
Senior citizens age 60 and older are asked for a minimal donation; those age 59
and younger are asked for a $5.00 donation. Meal time is 11:30am, Monday
through Friday at the Tyson School Apartments, 100 South High Street, Versailles,
Indiana. Reservations are required. Please call 812-689-1516 to make a
reservation or for more information.
Twice Blessed - Donations Needed Oldenburg Academy’s Twice Blessed Resale Store is in need of donations of
summer clothing, home décor and home furnishings. Twice Blessed is known for
quality ‘nice as new’ items which sets us apart, and makes meeting the demand of
sales challenging. Twice Blessed is happy to accept gently used items and nice as
new clothing from 9:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday and 9:00am-1:30pm on
Saturdays. All proceeds go to tuition assistance for Oldenburg Academy. Please
help us help our kids by shopping and donating at Twice Blessed Resale Store.
Please call 812-932-1414 for more information.
