Principal’s News A big thank you to our 2021-2022 Captains, Charlotte and Jackson, and Vice Captains, Rory and Sammy, who represented the school at the town’s Remembrance Day service last Thursday. This was their first opportunity in their new roles and they did a great job. I would also like to thank Amber Johnston who did the Welcome to Country. With current COVID restrictions the school was not able to hold a formal service however, the importance of the day was acknowledged at our morning assembly and our Senior Leaders, Iris and Ella, laid a wreath at school.

Last week the school received notification that there will be an Internet upgrade across the school in mid-December. With a greater use of technology and reliance on online learning tools in the classroom this upgrade will be much appreciated by all students and staff.

This Friday we will be welcoming Year 6 students from our partner schools as part of the Year 7 transition program. Staff are looking forward to meeting these students and Mrs Graham, our incoming Year 7 Year Adviser, has a fantastic day of activities planned for them.

I would like to remind parents that COVID restrictions are still in place on the school site. Students and staff are required to wear masks while inside, year groups cannot mix and parents are not allowed on school grounds unless for an essential reason, such as a prearranged appointment. When collecting students from school we ask that parents please wait outside school grounds.
