Strengths:• The images look professional

with all the stars using musical iconography or stereotypes for the genre, appealing to the target audience because it is clearly a indie rock music magazine contents images.

• The way the main text is laid out looks professional with it all lining up in a three column structure to make it conventional and make it easier for the audience to navigate around the page.

• The subheadings: regular and feature stand out clearly to the target audience as they are in a black bold font against a white background so it is easier for the audience to see what they say.

• The page numbers relating to the article information are clear for the audience to see and relate to the different article that they link with.

Weaknesses:• The image of the live

performance, I only took that one picture when I was there because I didn’t know that I was going to need it for my collage work and get a variety.

• The text on the images was difficult because of the different types of backgrounds that I had, it was hard to get a consistency for a colour that looked good on all of them and white was the best option I had.

What did I find easy?• I fond all of the text easy to create like the word

contents because I had to make a text box and then type the words that I needed.

• The photos I took I found easy because the people I used to get them to look indie rock made it very easy for me to do because they were waring the right cloths to make them look indie rock and I find using the camera fairly easy in general.

• The arrangement was easy because it looks conventional so all I needed to do was to make it look conventional.

• The repetition of the masthead and the page number at the bottom of the page was easy because I had already come up with the name and the font for the name of my magazine and a contents page is always at the front of the magazine and so I went with number 3.

What did I find difficult?• The biggest thing that I found difficult for the

creation of my magazine was the lining it up. I new what I wanted to do so that is why I also put this is what I found easy but actually doing it was difficult, when I did it the way that the text box worked meant that I had to go through every line and line them up properly individually which was extremely time consuming that could have been spent on other aspects of my magazine.

• Coming up with all of the different articles was difficult for me because coming up with on or two was easy but when you have to come up with 30 ideas was difficult because at some points I just ran out of ideas.

• Also to make everything look professional like having all the article information on one column was difficult because if you move one thing it moves the whole of the text so I found that very difficult.

The main tools I used on Quark.

The main tool that I used on quark was the text tool, I used this to make a text box and type what information I needed onto here. I also used this to make a text box and import text I had from a word document into quark and then line it up to make it look professional.

I used the image tool a lot by creating a image box and then importing the images on there and lining them up. I found this fairly easy especially after the first one.

I used this tool to create the bar at the top of the magazine contents page, it was useful because when it had text over it made the text stand out more.
