Founded in Hannover Germany on October 8th
1871, Continental can look back on a long
history of success. We have been around for
140 years so if you have a question, we have the
answer.
The Passenger and Light Truck division of
Continental is committed to providing all
Australian vehicles with premium quality tyres
guaranteeing the necessary road grip and
widest possible margin of safety.
The strength of Continental lies in its German
heritage as a premium tyre manufacturer, and
more recently in our comprehensive divisions.
The combination of these attributes make
Continental a leading technology supplier to the
automotive industry.
No other tyre manufacturer has the benefit of
this level of expertise in-house, which is one of
the many reasons why Continental is the best
choice for all cars.
Continental...the No.1 Tyre in Europe.
1 in every 3 cars produced in Europe are fitted
with Continental tyres, making us the number
one original equipment supplier. However, our
expertise goes well beyond the confines of
Europe, as we continue to be a strongly
recognised OE partner globally.
For Continental, this eminent position
and the trust shown in its tyres by vehicle
manufacturers worldwide, is validation of the
quality of Continental products. If the world’s
top car manufacturers are willing to place their
trust in Continental, so too can you and your
customers!
Development, scale and experience allow us to develop technologies that benefit the community as well as the environment. In all of this, our underlying goal is to make a real difference; creating future value – for our customers, business partners, shareholders, employees and for the society in which we live.

Australia’s First Continental store.Let us help you do your own thing.
Jim, a former mechanic and Paulene, previously
a medical records administrator, are no strangers
to the tyre industry, having owned and operated
a tyre retail outlet for over five years at the same
premises.
“We are really excited to be a part of the
Continental family,” Paulene said.
“The whole Continental team, right across
Australia has been very welcoming of Jim and
myself and the whole transition has been
extremely straightforward and painless.”
April 2011 marked a momentous occasion for Continental Tyres of Australia, with the opening of the first Continental retail outlet. Located in the Western Australian suburb of Wanneroo, it joins over 1,400 Continental outlets globally and is owned and operated by husband and wife, Jim and Paulene Bagiatis.
Continental’s impressive reputation and its
respected German-engineered product offerings
are what initially attracted Jim and Paulene to the
possibility of becoming a part of Continental
Tyres.
“We really liked the people who approached us
and what they offered, resulting in an overall
better package for us.” Paulene says.
“Continental Tyres has one of the best reputations
in the business and being associated with them
is more than a step in the right direction.
Dealing with the team at Continental Tyres’ at the
Head Office in Bundoora (VIC) as well as their
local regional manager were just some of the
positive aspects of the process for us.
It’s all about customer service and we receive so
much of it from the Continental team.
The ongoing support offered to us and the
response time to any queries is second to none.”
Paulene continues to say, “Our contact with the
call centre when ordering tyres is first-rate – they
are lovely and always happy to help.”
The decision to make the transition to Continental
was admittedly not an easy one for Jim and
Paulene, but as they said they wouldn’t change it.
Jim admits, “To be honest I was initially hesitant,
purely because I don’t like change.
But now that we have become Continental, we
wouldn’t go back. Our experience has been
extremely positive and it’s a fresh start.
With Continental, we feel we are a part of a family,
all striving for the same goal and wanting to help
each other out.”
The opening of Continental retail outlets is part of
Continental’s decision to expand its operations
in Australia, as well as enhancing brand
recognition through a visible presence across
the country.
With Continental, we feel we are a part of a family, all striving for the same goal and wanting to help each other out.
