What’s new? NEW PRICE for powerEvents powerEvents have been a great success, as well for small as for large customers. The model of a license pack of 25 licenses, worked well for the introduction, but as expected, customers asked to pay by seat. We listened and changed the price by seat and adjusted the price to the product value. So, now you can purchase powerEvents by seat for 80€ per seat per year. For most of the powerEvents customers, this price change will be perceived as a reduction, as they have less then 25 seats, or less than the next multiple of 25. However, there are few customers which are very close to 25 or multiple. As we value loyal customers, it will be possible for those existing customers, to still renew their 25 seats packages for the old price until end of this year. They can renew it for one or two years in advance. This is a one-time offering, valid until end of calendar year 2019. NEW bcpToolkit by month The bcpToolkit is becoming the mandatory companion for LOAD projects, such as import from file system, migration from competitive system and merging of Vaults. The 3 months license is the perfect entry point for such projects, but we heard that you may need few months more for projects that takes a bit longer. So, the starting base license for 3 months is still here, and we added the +1 month license, so that you can buy for the period you need, with minimum of 3 months. You can now purchase 4, 5, 6, x months upfront, or purchase a 3 months base license, and extend month by month the duration as needed. Additional months do not have to be adjacent, so in case your project needs a short rest period, you can let expire your subscription and re-enable it when your project is ready to continue. NEW jobWatcher This is a brand-new little, cool app for the Vault client, which informs the user if a job has been queued and if such jobs runs into a problem. This way, users will be more aware of jobs related to their work and react right away in case of job errors. The license is per Vault seat. End of support of 2017 As of March 31, 2019, support, bug fixes and enhancements for all coolOrange products that work with Autodesk 2017 product releases and older, have terminated. Load into Vault
bcpToolkit – Whether you have to load files from a folder into Vault, migrate from a legacy/competitive data management system, or merge Vaults together, the best way is by using the Vault Data Transfer Utility (DTU, aka. Vault BCP). The bcpToolkit will help you creating a BCP package from scratch, review a BCP package before the import, manipulating a BCP package via PowerShell scripts, validate your BCP package against your Vault and more. It is the toolkit needed for performing a successful load or merge project. The license is by project, meaning one source to one target.
vaultRuler – Wheter you just upgraded from Vault basic to Vault Workgroup or Professional or you made changes to your Vault behaviors, vaultRuler will bring all your files into the correct category and assign the right properties. This way, your files will reflect the according settings, and so improve the usage of Vault.
dataLoader – You files are in Vault, and you have an additional Excel spreadsheet with data which should be added to your files? dataLoader reads a CSV file containing your metadata and automatically updates every file with the matching metadata. It even recognizes information like category, revision and state in the CSV file and applies those properties as well.

Can I activate the trial version? Yes, the trial version can be activated with the purchased serial number and becomes fully functional. Can I activate the trial version after the trial has expired? Yes, the activation can be done anytime, before or after the trial period expiration.
Order/delivery/billing How will the software be delivered? The software will be delivered as download only. The software or download link can be found on the coolOrange website. Download the demo version and activate it with the acquired license. Can I have the software delivered on a hardware media like a CD-Rom? The software will be delivered as download only. How long does it take to get the license for the product purchase? You will get the license/subscription usually within 24 hours (business day, CET, excluding public holidays) after your order has been placed. How can I pay for the purchased software? The payment can be done via bank wire, PayPal or credit card (via PayPal). The account information can be found on the invoice. What is the payment period? Payments must be settled within 15 days after the invoice date. How can I activate my software? You enter the serial number you received with the license/subscription in the activation window. The activation is done automatically via Internet and can be done anytime. Alternatively, a manual activation via email is possible, which will be processed within 24 hours (business day, CET, excluding public holidays). I ordered but did not receive my licenses yet. License types Subscription coolOrange products are sold as a subscription. Beyond the purchased period the subscription must be renewed to have continued usage permission. Subscriptions can be used during the purchased period in the most current and all former versions. They are supported in the most current and the two immediately preceding versions.

Can I align the duration of a subscription to other licenses? Yes, you can align expiration dates of your subscriptions or legacy maintenance plans. Please communicate the desired expiration date. Our licenses always expire on the end of a month. Can I purchase a subscription for several years? Yes, just order the subscription for the desired period. The price will be multiplied. I purchased a data loading tool subscription for 3 months. I’ll need it a few weeks more. What can I do? In case of the bcpToolkit, you can add additional month. In case of dataLoader and vaultRuler, just order another 3 months or switch to the 12-month subscription. How can I buy an upgrade? Subscriptions can be used for the purchased period. All upgrades within this time are included. Legacy customers with running maintenance plans for powerGate server have the permission to renew the maintenance plan within the expiration date, according to coolOrange’s conditions. Will I be informed when my 3 months subscription is going to expire? The software itself will alert you that the subscription is going to expire. As the 3 months subscription is thought to be used in small projects without renewal we do not send reminders for this kind of subscription. Will I be informed when my 12 months subscription is going to expire? Yes, you will get several alerts within 90 days prior to expiration. Email notifications will be sent to the primary contact on file for the purchaser (either the reseller or customer). Please keep email contact information up to date for notification. The expiration date can be found on your license certificate. For any questions or changes please contact [email protected].

Supported lifespan coolOrange products are always sold in the current version and are backwards compatible at least for the two immediately preceding versions, if supported. coolOrange Support shall only be provided for the most current version of a product and the two immediately preceding (full) versions of that product. coolOrange products work as plugins to Autodesk products. The version name of coolOrange Software depends on the Autodesk software they are used with.
Updates/Versions Where can I download updates for my product? Updates are made available on the coolOrange website. When will the upgrade to the new version be made available? We usually provide upgrades within 6 weeks after Autodesk’s product release. Why does the product version not correspond with the current calendar year? The coolOrange product’s version is aligned with the Autodesk product’s version. Will the license be backward compatible? Yes, the license allows you to activate earlier versions of the product.
