On the so-called "Day of the Franks" and the following Monday, presentation trips with the Coradia iLint from Coburg to Bayreuth and back took place under real everyday conditions. The "Day of the Franks" is intended to illustrate the varied history of Franconia and is organized by the three Franconian districts of Bavaria.

Over 25 million euros in state funding for further research into this technology
" […] We want to use more environmentally friendly drives for the Bavarian
local rail passenger trains. […] We are pushing ahead with the introduction of
hydrogen technology in the rail sector like no other country. For example, we
are investing more than 25 million euros in state funding to support further
research into this technology. This primarily involves the development of a
prototype that can also drive in hilly landscapes," explains Transport Minister
Dr. Hans Reichhart.
