SCHOLARSHIPS FOR
CORBETT GRADUATES
AND ALUMNI
Application Deadline April 1st
GENERAL NOTES ABOUT THIS CATALOG:
The following catalog provides a description of the currently-available scholarships from the
Corbett Education Foundation. This description includes the scholarship title, the basis for the
scholarship, and the criteria for each specific scholarship. All of this information is developed
by the individual donor.
The descriptions found in this catalog DO NOT INCLUDE application and maintenance
procedures which are common to all CEF-sponsored scholarships. These procedures can be
found on this Corbett Education Foundation website under the heading “Scholarship Details” and
“Student FAQ”. Again, these procedures apply to EVERY CEF-sponsored scholarship and are
not repeated here under each specific description. These procedures include scholarship
application/re-application steps, recipient selection, academic progress reporting, general
communication requirements and so on.
NOTES TO CORBETT GRADUATES AND ALUMNI:
The Corbett Education Foundation is committed to helping students seek financial assistance for
a further education. In this catalog you will find an assortment of scholarships and grants which
provide this assistance. Funding is being provided by individuals, families, businesses, and
community organizations who believe in Corbett graduates and wish to contribute to their
success.
Page 4
The availability of CEF-sponsored scholarships is contingent upon the supply of funds. Not all
scholarships will be awarded every year for this reason.
Graduates will automatically be considered for all available scholarships for which they are
eligible; however, CEF encourages students to list their first three preferences on the application
form and develop the Personal Statement with these preferences in mind. This strategy will
increase chances for success. The Personal Statement is an opportunity to inform the readers as
to the aspirations and personality of the applicant. The content should be personal and specific.
CEF encourages graduates to seek out those scholarships which specify criteria in line with their
career interests. These scholarships should be among the aforementioned preferences listed on
the application form. Again, this may increase the odds for success.
Hard copies of scholarship application and renewal forms are located in the Corbett Education
Foundation office. Application forms may also be downloaded and printed from this website.
The completed forms must be either mailed (USPS) or delivered to the Corbett Education
Foundation office at the middle school by the published deadline date.
