    STUDENT OF THE WEEK

Teaching children about our Learner Profiles; Inquirer, Caring, Balanced, Knowledgeable, Risk -

Taker, Communicator, Reflective, Open – Minded, Thinker and Principled provides them with the tool kit for

successfully relating with others. As a way of celebrating the demonstration of these principles by

students, staff have elected these students this week.

Year 6/7 Class (Mr Braun and Mrs O’Brien) Thinker - Stella Thomas. Stella showed great Thinking skills when researching and presenting an assignment. She

thought creatively to construct a 3D model. Awesome job Stella!

Risk Taker - Ellen Kroehn. Ellen demonstrated being a Risk Taker by organising an event and communicating with

teachers her expectations. It was awesome to see her follow through on a passion of hers. Well done Ellen!

Year 5/6 Class (Mrs Burns) Grit - Isabella Paschke. Isabella has shown Grit over the last week or so when undertaking her Ancient Egyptian

Art. She has challenged herself and persisted with adding detailed, clear and neat hieroglyphics of that art

    period . Great Job!

Risk Taker - Makaylah Childs. Makaylah showed she was a Risk Taker last week when she got up and

participated in the science performance. She also took a bold risk in UOI when attempting to make her art work

look more authentic by screwing it up to give a rough stone look effect to it.

    It looks great Makaylah!

Year 3/4 Class (Mr Fladrich) Grit - Eden Hensel. Eden displays Grit when completing her daily times table challenges! Keep up the good work,

    Eden!

forms of energy in unit of Inquiry. Well done, Addison!

Kristen! Keep using your rainbow fact knowledge.

knowledge of high frequency words as well as incorporating some challenging words too. Well done Darcy!

Foundation/Year 1 Class (Mrs Beelitz) Grit – Arlee Matthews. Arlee has applied herself to learning opportunities, working hard to focus, record and

share her findings and wonderings about sound. Keep it up!
