About The Organisation
The Disabled People Association (DPA) is a non-profit, cross-disability organization, officially registered in Singapore on 28th April 1986. We are an associate member of the National Council of Social Service and also are registered as an Institution of Public Character with approval to issue tax-exemption receipts to out donors.
About
Our mission is to be the voice of people with disabilities, helping them achieve full participation and equal status in the society through independent living.
Mission Statement
Logo Introduction
The new logo is a spiral-like design which conveys the meaning of converging as “One Voice”, which is also the tagline of the new identity. The 6 outer blue components of the new design represent the core values of Disabled People Association Singapore (DPA). These core values of DPA correlate with the organisation’s mission and vision. They are: Solidarity (Unity), Compassion, Advocacy, Confidence, Strength and Resilience.
A new colour combination, blue and green, is used to add a refreshing contemporary touch to the logo design. At the same time, blue represents stability and confidence. It harmonises with green to symbolize self-respect and well-being.

DPA Tagline
The swirl of the outer blue component was intended to convey a sense of movement that signifies dynamism of the organisation. It also brings attention to the green circle in the centre, giving the notion of “voice’ weight as this is a key founding tenet of DPA. When put together, the symbol resembles the outline of sun - a visual element that is associated with positive characteristics.
The overall design of the logo combining the symbol, organisation’s name and tagline are deliberated taking into consideration reading sequence and convention. The placement aims to capture audience interest first through the symbol while not overshadowing the attention to be given to the organisation’s name.
