FOCUSED ON EXCELLENCE
Operation Homefront is a leading national charity supporting families of service
members and wounded warriors. Since its inception in 2002, it has grown from a
small local charity to a strong national organization with Field Offices across the
country. Collectively we have achieved a four-star rating on Charity Navigator for
the past six consecutive years- an accomplishment only 3% of charities rated.
Much like the military itself, we have a “no man left behind” attitude. We work
through a collaborative team of exceptional staff, volunteers, and supporters in
becoming the provider of choice for emergency financial and other assistance to the
families of service members and wounded warriors.
Key Strengths:
• 501(c)(3), tax-exempt nonprofit
• Rated Amongst the Top Charities Nationally:

• Met 151,150 needs in 2012 alone, over 750,000 since inception:
• Clients include active duty, Reserve, National Guard, and Post 9-
11 Wounded, Ill and Injured
• Over 97% of the assistance was provided to E1-E6 (the lowest

EMERGENCY SERVICES
The cornerstone of Operation Homefront’s programs is the emergency
financial assistance it provides to families of service members.
Often times these families have no one nearby to turn to in times of crisis.
We fill that need by helping them bridge the financial gap in emergency
situations, offering help with:
food
utilities
rent or mortgage payments
infant supplies
furniture, household items, and moving assistance
automobile repairs, payments, or donations
household repairs or medically necessitated modifications
counseling or support groups
urgent or critical healthcare needs
All applicants for assistance are thoroughly screened to determine need
and eligibility, and typically receive a response within 24-72 hours. When
assistance is granted, payments are made directly to creditors. And,
because fulfilling the immediate need is only half the solution, staff
members work with applicants to help them set budgets and put plans in
place for future emergencies.
Sponsorships are available to support emergency services. With a
sponsorship of $10,000 or more, Operation Homefront can provide a
letter to the family recognizing the company sponsoring the support they
received. Sponsorships can be for emergency services in general or a
specific area, such as food assistance.

OPERATION HOMEFRONT VILLAGES
Operation Homefront Villages are a special place where warriors wounded in their efforts to
preserve our freedom and their families can find respite together while the service member is
rehabilitating at a military hospital and transitioning into civilian life. Families live free of
charge in two or three bedroom, fully furnished apartment homes, and receive a full
complement of support:
Community center with computer work stations and other supportive services.
Counselors to assist with filing VA , state disability and social security claims, educational
assistance including help with college enrollment, scholarship applications, and applying
for VA educational benefits, and job integration programs, including resume writing
assistance and workshops, assistance with interviewing for and finding employment.
Morale-building activities, including support group meetings, resume writing classes, and
events like furnishing Easter baskets, back to school backpacks and supplies, Thanksgiving
food baskets, holiday toys and other programs.
All too often families of injured servicemen are discharged, and left to fend for themselves
while their disability paperwork is processed. We bridge this unique gap for service members
and their families who have nowhere else to turn. The Villages are strategically located close
to major military medical facilities . Currently we have three Villages; one located in San
Antonio, one in the Washington D.C. Metro area and our newest, in Southern California.
Sponsorships range from $20,000-$35,000 per apartment unit which covers the rent,
utilities, case management and other costs associated with each apartment unit.
Operation Homefront Villages sponsors receive:
• Signage on the apartment units door highlight the sponsor
• Invitations to OH Village events and activities
• Access to the family in the sponsored unit and their photo and profile.
• Ability to use the family’s photos and profiles in company materials

HOMES ON THE HOMEFRONT Our newest program, Homes on the Homefront takes bank-owned properties
and matches them to veterans. After a one to two year transition period,
during which each family is supported by a case manager and completes a
customized transition plan, the home is deeded to the veteran mortgage-free.
• Properties are Bank-owned and fully rehabbed by the lender donating the
home
• Priority is given to severely wounded service members, but open to any
veteran of any era, regardless of injury or disability
• Families receive:
• One to two years of support, including financial counseling
• Help to fully integrate into the community in a sustainable way
• Referrals to community resources as needed
Corporate partners and individuals can sponsor homes for $12,000 per home.
Operation Homefront has access to hundreds of homes from lenders willing to
donate them, but OH can only accept as many homes as we have cash funding
to support. The cost for OH to manage a home includes staff time, travel
expenses for case workers to conduct site visit and work with the family,
financial counseling costs, taxes, closing costs, insurance and HOA fees.
Homes on the Homefront sponsors receive:
• Invitation to the key ceremony for the sponsored home
• Access to the family in the sponsored home and their photo and profile.
• Ability to use the family’s photos and profiles in company materials
• Ability to interact and work with the family on an ongoing basis

HOMEFRONT CELEBRATIONS
Homefront Celebrations were created to recognize and thank active duty military spouses. For some women, a Homefront Celebration is often the first night they’ve been out socially with other military spouses. It is an opportunity to meet and make new friends, exchange information about local resources, and enjoy the camaraderie of other spouses who have similar life opportunities and challenges.
These evenings are designed for the spouses to dress up and have a fun girls’ night out celebrating military life.
Homefront Celebrations include:
• Upscale Venue and Food – Homefront Celebrations are beautiful events hosted in venues featuring the best the locale has to offer. Most events are held in full service hotels or country clubs.
• Inspirational Speaker – Deliver a motivational reminder of the many positive and unique opportunities available to military families. The Keynote Speakers are always a highlight of the evening.
• Gift Bags - Gift bags are cute totes filled with seasonal products and treats for the guests. They are a nice surprise for the spouses and a lasting memory of the good time and warm feelings of the evening. This farewell token reinforces our message of appreciation and pride.
Sponsorships are available for this program at locations anywhere in the United States. Sponsorships are $15,000 per event location. Sponsors may set up a table at the venue, speak at the event, sit at the head table with senior military spouses, and will be featured on event banners, invitations and other event materials. In-kind sponsorships are also available to help provide the gifts bags for these events.

HEARTS OF VALOR™
When a wounded warrior returns to their family, they need to be prepared.
Family support is paramount to a warrior’s physical and mental recuperation, yet
the spouses who lead the family effort have almost no resources or emotional
support themselves. Operation Homefront offers the caregivers of warriors the
chance to take part in various programs that serve to support these women in
their efforts, including highly sought after retreats. Sponsorship opportunities
include funding of caregivers’ retreats, new member care packages, and
subsidizing peer-facilitated support groups.
Hearts of Valor™ retreats accommodate 45-60 female caregivers and include 2 ½
days of education, relaxation and healing. Retreats can be sponsored for $45,000
per event. Retreats can be held in any Operation Homefront serviced area and
can be donor directed based on corporate market presence.
Other sponsorships available:
• Hearts of Valor™ new member gift boxes - $50,000 per year. Each gift box
includes a custom made Walmart gift card featuring the sponsors logo,
inclusion of corporate sponsors information, and a welcome letter co-
branded with the sponsor.
• Hearts of Valor™ monthly dinners - $25,000 per year. Perfect sponsorship
opportunity for a restaurant chain that can donate monthly dinners as in-
kind gifts.
• General program support - $10,000- $100,000. All sponsors who provide
general program support will have their company logo featured on the
Hearts of Valor web site and will be promoted on the Hearts of Valor
Facebook page and blog.

BACK-TO-SCHOOL BRIGADE
The number of American children who have experienced a parent’s deployment or
wound, illness or injury is estimated at close to three million – from newborns to teens.
Today, the context of military service includes a higher operation tempo, increased
deployments, relocations, injury recovery, and family separations. As such, military
families are facing more stressors than ever before. Operation Homefront created the
Back-To-School Brigade, to help eliminate at least one stressor – buying school supplies
and preparing for back to school. In 2012, over 39,000 backpacks were distributed,
along with over 4.9 million school supplies collected at over 4,600 retail and office
locations nationwide.
In 2013, OH will hold over 120 distribution events around the country to distribute a
record 40,000 backpacks stuffed with school supplies.
Sponsorships are available by event location and nationally. Sponsorships range from
$1,000-$25,000 locally per event and $1,000-$100,000 nationally.
Sponsorships include:
Logo on national program website or respective OH Field Office Website
Promotional Material (flyer or letter) distributed in every backpack

Operation Homefront presents Star-Spangled Babies™, a program to provide baby showers to
our service members and their growing families. 42% of active duty service members have
children under the age of 5; 7% are dual-military parents.
Often, military parents-to-be live far from their extended families and support systems due
to deployments and frequent relocation. Like many new parents, they may have questions,
concerns and fears .
Operation Homefront hosts approximately 30 baby showers per year at locations around the
country.
Star-Spangled Babies:
• Connect new parents with other new military parents
• Provide resources, support & education
• Furnish new baby essentials
• Celebrate and shower new families with our appreciation for their service and sacrifice
to our country
Local sponsorships are available between $250 - $10,000 per location and national
sponsorships are available for $10,000- $50,000. National sponsorship includes recognition
and exposure at all event locations and venues across the country. Other sponsorship
benefits may include:
• Opportunity to participate in the local event.
• Check presentation at event.
• Acknowledgement at the local event.
• Donor mention on media releases.
• National and/or local website recognition.
• Listing & logo recognition in Operation Homefront’s Annual Report.

HOLIDAY TOY RECON
Holiday Toy Recon began several years ago to serve junior and mid grade enlisted military families with their holiday needs.
Last year, 9 million toys were donated nationwide and distributed to approximately 20,000 military children around the
country. In most locations the families who participate are families of deployed service members, families of wounded
service members, and other junior and mid grade service members and their families who just need that extra support to get
through the holiday season.
During the holidays, Operation Homefront reaches out to our service members and their families to assist and support their
needs. We rely on the generosity of the local communities during this important time of giving. With your support, we can
reach thousands of children from newborns to the age of 18 across the country.
This year, Operation Homefront will distribute toys to over 21,000 military children thanks to sponsorships from Veterans
United Foundation and Dollar Tree.
Sponsorships are available by event location and nationally. Sponsorships range from $1,000-$25,000 locally per event and
$1,000-$100,000 nationally.

HOLIDAY MEALS FOR MILITARY
Operation Homefront presents Holiday Meals for Military. The Holiday Meals for Military
program began Thanksgiving 2009 as a result of a chance encounter in a supermarket in New
York near Fort Drum. A soldier, his wife, and infant had a handful of grocery items they
could not afford, so a Beam Global employee, Ken Ruff, paid the $12 for their groceries.
Outside the store, the service member pulled Ken aside. He thanked him for his generosity
and expressed his embarrassment at his inability to provide a holiday meal for his
family. The man went on to explain that he had just returned home from a long tour of duty
in the Middle East, and that his family had experienced a rough time during his
deployment. This experience inspired Ken to create the Holiday Meals for Military Program.
In a few short weeks, preparations for the first Holiday Meals for Military were made. With
the help of a core team of volunteers and donors, 500 meals were served to military families
in Fort Hood, Texas.
Program Growth:
● 2009 – Distributed 500 Meals - 1 Location
● 2010 – Distributed 1,000 Meals – 3 Locations
● 2011 – Distributed 2,000 Meals – 6 Locations
● 2012 – Distributed 5,100 Meals – 17 Locations
In 2013, Holiday Meals for Military will distribute 7,500 meals to military families in 22-
separate locations. Sponsorships are welcomed and range from $1,000 to $100,000 plus.
Sponsorship levels are as follows:
• Patron Sponsor - $1,000; Receives regional recognition

Oster - launched a new camo themed electric razor
Gold Canyon – designated a seasonal scent in support OH’s emergency financial aid program
Bruegger's – created a special bagel for their 4th Annual Red, White and Blue Bagel Fundraiser, held over July 4th weekend, to show their continued support for military families in need.
