CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY

THE UPLEDGER INSTITUTE EUROPE Training in CranioSacral Therapy The Upledger Institute Europe is the training organisation established under the authority of The Upledger Institute in Florida, and its founder Dr John Upledger, pioneer of CranioSacral Therapy, who personally approves the Institute’s instructors. CranioSacral Therapy’ is a gentle, safe but profoundly powerful modality which works through the fascia and cerebrospinal fluid, having as its core structures the cranium and the whole spine with the soft structures within and around them. It is effective in releasing and neutralising many of the causes of chronic pain, illness and disability, especially where physical or emotional trauma, whether sustained before, during or since birth, are involved. This recently-developed therapy appeals to therapists and advanced students who want to expand their skills and who like hands-on work. It offers particular advantages in treating babies and children, in mental health, with old trauma patterns and where a “whole person” approach is taken. A complete system of deep release techniques it also melds naturally with other hands-on routines. Cranio-Sacral Therapy is widely employed by Physiotherapists throughout North America and increasingly in Europe and Australasia. The training programme prepared by Dr Upledger is based upon intensive workshops of four or five days’ duration. The workshops may be taken at intervals to suit learning rate, practice pattern and other commitments. The first-level CranioSacral Therapy workshop (CST 1 - 4 days) will provide the therapist or advanced student with a substantial range of insights and techniques that will immediately integrate into their work. The next level, CST II, adds more cranial detail, energy cysts, whole body evaluation, introduction to Somato Emotional Release, and more. Fees: CST 1, f385; CST 11, f435, includes lunches. Programme: CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY I Edinburgh, October 13- 16, 1994 Warwick, January 26 - 29, 1995 CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY II Edinburgh, April 20 - 23, 1995
