The farm gates will open as the hand strikes noon. Tent Band Voodoo DeVille, a local favorite, will pre-show as 1:00 breezes in. 2:00 ~ Slidewinder Blues Band hits with their own brand driven contemporary blues. 3:45 ~ Nate Myers & the Aces perform a wide variety of styles they love into their own. 5:30 ~ Rich Estrin & the Nightcats wildly tune & musically fearless perform. otherwise would be unable. • Financial Aid for disadvantaged families confronted with a life changing disaster. • Medical Equipment free loan program. • Leader Dog training sponsorship. • Sponsor Beacon Lodge summer camp for vision impaired, deaf & autistic.
Children & Adults. • Used eyeglass collection for Lions Club International Foundation. • $1000 Scholarship Award for an Owen J. Roberts high school graduate. • Disaster relief through Lions Club International Foundation. • Sponsor Young Lions: Middle & High School Leo Club and Elementary Lion Cubs
Clubs at Owen J. Roberts Schools. • Adopt-a-Highway for a two mile section North from intersection of Rt 23 & Rt 100. • And more!
Lions Club KidSight Program: Our club is a major sponsor. This provides initial eye screening for children ages 6 months to 6 years. The goal is to prevent vision loss by early detection & treatment of the most common vision problems (below). Lion Volunteers use a Spot Camera to conduct the free vision screenings in preschools & other childhood centers. The parents receive a confidential results report. If anomalies are found, they are advised to have a follow up exam by an appropriate eye care professional. The KidSight Trailer will be at this event for all ages to have their eyes screened!
