Welcome to the final edition of The Roundup for 2013. On behalf of the board of directors, management and all staff I would like to take this opportunity to thank all members for their support during 2013 and we look forward to serving you again in 2014.

Don’t forget that membership renewals are now due for the 2014 year. Be sure to visit the Club as soon as possible to renew and get your entry in our amazing Members Million promotion. This will give you a chance at sharing in 1 million bonus points. See page 3 for more information.

As usual we have a number of great promotions on offer throughout the next three months all of which are detailed throughout the newsletter. Our very popular Melbourne Cup luncheon and New Years Eve’s dinner will book out quickly as will the amazing A Night in Vegas show. Be sure to book early to avoid disappointment.

I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Matty Bowen, Ashley Graham and Dallas Johnson on their spectacular careers. On behalf of everyone at the Club we wish them the best of luck with their future endeavors. As all members would be aware, Matty has been the Cowboys Leagues Club ambassador for many years and has done a fantastic job. Nothing has been too much trouble and he was regularly seen socialising with our members at the Club. Thanks Matty.

Finally, I am excited to announce that in January we will be launching a brand new Cowboys Leagues Club magazine, Momentum. This magazine will replace the Roundup and will be available from Cowboys Leagues Club receptions and some newsagents!

The Cowboys Leagues Club are delighted to announce a partnership with the Townsville McDonald’s Crocodiles to make the Club the Crocs brand new social home. The two sporting organisations have always had a desire to work closer together with the community synergies they now both share.

Cowboys Leagues Club General Manager Clint Williams is thrilled about the exciting new partnership.

“While we will always be the social home of the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys we also see ourselves as much more than just a Leagues Club. We are heavily involved in supporting the North Queensland community and the board of directors and management are always looking for new ways to help. The Crocs new community ownership model represents some great synergies for us and we are very excited to be involved,” he said.

“Having the two most prominent sporting clubs in North Queensland under one roof is a great fit.”

The Townsville Crocs have wasted no time and will be kicking off things at their new social home with a weekly fundraising night on Wednesdays commencing the first week in October.

Crocs fans will also be able to watch all the action of away games on the big screens at the Club and enjoy a $10 pizza and pot special. The Crocs will also be throwing in a Crocs supporters pack to giveaway after every away game.

“Since the Wulguru Crocs club closed over 10 years ago we really haven’t had a place that we could call our social home,” Townsville Crocs General Manager Pat Reidy said.

“There hasn’t been a venue where our supporters could gather for the Crocs cause. The Cowboys Leagues Club is the ideal place for us to hold social events, fundraise and meet before and after every home game.”

Clint added “Crocs members and fans have now got a family friendly venue they can call home and a great place to gather to support their team.”

“Whether it is for a meal before a home game, to socialise with the players after a game or to support the boys while they are away, we will be here to look after them!”

would always sit in the sheds

for ages after the game having

a few beers and enjoying each

other’s company.

a lap of 1300 Smiles Stadium

to thank all our fans and

celebrate a win.

A selfie I took with Lauren on
