Integrated Campaign Management: Philips & DDB

• Philips Central Marketing support local markets in the production of brand and consumer electronics campaigns.

• A procurement driven initiative was introduced to reduce and standardise production costs and improve services globally for Philips. The plan was to move away from the costly local agency production model to a centralised agency aligned process driven by ABC models (Activity Based Costing).

• DDB briefed Loveurope to provide a cost effective solution, initially for press and OOH, to support production across EMEA.

• Loveurope recommended a UK based central implementation team liaising directly with the London Agency. This team managed production operations in both the UK and South Africa, supplying versioned artwork and dedicated UK based media

contact teams to fulfil schedules and requests through to web servers.

• Instigated in July 2008, Loveurope have already delivered savings of 43% against all current Pan European production overhead. As a result DDB have extended the model beyond press and OHH to also include digital production.

Dedicated Resources: JPMorgan

• Loveurope were approached by the Head of Marketing at JPMorgan Asset Management to conduct a study of the internal design and artwork facility in London.

• This facility provided a slow, time consuming and erratic service deemed not to be financially viable due to inconsistencies and errors.

• There was no concise asset management system in place, nor accurate time and charges recorded to enable budget forecasts for the various UK, European and APAC Marketing teams.

• Loveurope provided an internal resource on a fixed monthly fee. Almost immediately JPMAM began to see positive results, leading to an increase in promotional material budgets for markets serviced by the Marketing Dept.

• Not only do Loveurope facilitate the internal unit at JPMAM but we also handle press schedules, UK and European Prospectuses and print production with a dedicated team in London as well as in our offices in Poland and South Africa.

Brand & Asset Management: L’Oréal

• The L’Oréal brand encompassing Maybelline is one of our longest-standing relationships. We are directly contracted to provide design, artwork and pre-media services to the creative agencies of record within EMEA.

• Working with the Paris creative agency our role is to manage the ATL and OOH Pan Regional production activity and fulfillment through to media owners.

• Our role is one of Brand Guardianship and as such we provide core asset management to centralise and manage collateral. Providing web based access to assets and brand guidelines saves time, cost and duplication of both effort and information.

• It is a practical, scalable and efficient way of sharing data with the audience.

• Intuitive interfaces are provided to ensure user adoption and remove language barriers.

• This system provides simple ‘yes/no’ approval options to improve workflow and reduce time to market.

Offshore Production: Hewlett-Packard

• PSG (Laptops) advertising is managed through six McCann Erickson European hubs who liaise directly with Loveurope to support regional consumer product marketing initiatives for localised ‘in country’ promotional activity.

• Our brief was to enable year-on-year procurement led cost reductions, providing a single managed agency neutral production partner to work with roster creative agencies.

• This involved the provision of a centralised UK client service team and dedicated production and artwork unit based in Warsaw to provide fast track, quality assured, low cost production, traffic & fulfilment.

• Loveurope achieved initial 42% savings against existing European artwork & repro overheads, with committed additional annual year-on-year savings of +5%.

Global Campaign Management: TAG Heuer

• TAG Heuer Marketing supports regional retailer activity globally, providing funding and media control of POS and OOH advertising.

• Their issues were managing quality of a prestige brand globally, reducing the cost of managing local branded compliance and tracking activity.

• Our solution was the provision of a browser based retailer driven system to control, streamline and report on the ordering and fulfilment process.

• This enables local subsidiaries to order pre-approved material, a process for central marketing approval, and automated alerts.

• Our network of ‘brand guardian’ EMEA studios then fulfils and manages cost controlled order requests.

Automated Technology: Volkswagen

• Volkswagen Central Marketing support their UK network of 250 retailers’ promotional activity. Within this is the provision of weekly tactical core messages across all retailers and regions.

• The client directives were cost reduction of heavy weekly campaigns while improving time to market for tactical messages to a large audience.

• Our solution was groundbreaking in the provision of an automated system for advert creation & delivery into the entire UK regional press.

• We completely streamlined processes and workflows, cutting production time by 60% over traditional methods combined with year on year savings, billed as a fixed production fee.
