HEARTBEATS BOTTLES FOR LIFE 2020
Each year, we partner with local churches in Licking, Muskingum, and Perry counties to raise funds for the life-saving services provided through Heartbeats to abortion-vulnerable women and families. Many families desperately need the resources and support Heartbeats provides! Because of the ongoing generosity of our communities, Heartbeats has been able to offer services at NO COST for over 50 years!
Did you know? $40.00 covers the cost of a pregnancy test appointment! 780 tests were provided in 2019. $150.00 covers one month of our BrightCourse Parenting program for an unlimited number of clients! $400.00 covers the cost of an ultrasound appointment! 353 limited ultrasounds were provided in 2019.
Participate in our first Heartbeats 2020 Bottles for Life VIRTUAL Campaign in July! While we will not be distributing actual baby bottles this year, you can still support the Bottles for Life Campaign!
You can give online at hbfl.us and invite your friends and family to do the same! Or you can mail donations to:Heartbeats Admin Office: 336 East Main Street, Newark, OH 43055
Help us to continue to provide all of our services at NO COST by participating in this campaign! You can “fill up” a virtual bottle and help us reach our goal of $70,000.00! The campaign will run through July 31st!
• Use your social media and invite your friends and family to join you, you can even set your own personal “fundraising goal!”
• Have a yard sale or a special event to give toward the goal! Hold a special Facebook Live Event where you’re the star and people give toward the goal to watch you perform! Have a bake sale and use the proceeds to help reach the goal!
• Feature an item(s) on social media to sell and invite people to use their bid to help you reach your fundraising goal!
• Share your story of adoption on social media and ask people to give to help others choose adoption! We know that together we can use our creativity “for such a time as this!” We can’t thank you enough for helping us spread the word (and the link) and for helping us get people excited about offering solutions to abortion through this campaign!

2020 BISHOP’S ANNUAL APPEAL UPDATE
“Living the Joy of the Gospel,” the theme of the Bishop’s Annual Appeal, inspires us, as people of faith, to share joyfully the Good News of Christ to those who most need to feel His love. Works of kindness and assistance, sometimes in the smallest way, can bring about a profound change in a person’s life. Through the Bishop’s Annual Appeal, we have an opportunity to bring about a positive change in the lives of many of God’s people. Through your generosity, you are supporting the various ministries and programs that are vital in spreading His love. Thus far, we have already received pledges of $4,585.00 towards our Parish Goal of $39,884.76. We can accomplish this if, after prayerful consideration, everyone gives what they can. PLEASE WRITE CHECKS PAYABLE TO CHURCH OF THE ASCENSION – B.A.A. Any amount raised over our goal will be returned to our parish. You should have received a letter from Church of the Ascension along with a 2020 BAA envelope.
