Day 2 | Amsterdam, Netherlands

Upon arrival, transfer to the pier and embark theMS Amadeus Star.

Discovery: Canals of Amsterdam. Glide on acanal cruiser and admire some of the city’s 1,500bridges, dozens of islands and gabled houses.

Day 3 | Amsterdam

Enrichment: Contemporary Holland.

•Rijksmuseum. View fabulous art and artifactsrepresenting 800 years of Dutch history, includingnational treasures by Rembrandt and Vermeer.

Enjoy the scenery along the Rhine this morning.

Discovery: Frühschoppen. All hands on deckfor this German mid-morning tradition. Savor aspread of pretzels, sausages and mustards.

Discovery: Cologne. Tour the medieval quarter,and visit the 12th-century Kölner Dom. Thoughdamaged by bomb blasts during World War II, thechurch is one of the few structures that survived.

Day 5 | Koblenz

Discovery: Koblenz. Explore the sights of Koblenz, where the Romans established a settlement at the confluence of the Mosel andRhine rivers more than 2,000 years ago.

Later, delight in landscapes of the Rhine Gorge.

Day 6 | Miltenberg

Relax on deck and enjoy the riverside scenery.

Discovery: Miltenberg. Tour this medieval cityto see quaint, half-timbered houses and a 16th-century fountain. Visit a wine shop that sits overa vaulted ice cellar, and enjoy a brandy tasting.

Sail along the Main River this afternoon.

Day 7 | Würzburg

Discovery: Würzburg. Explore the Residenz,an elegant, 18th-century palace, and witness St.Kilian’s Cathedral and the Old Town Hall.Free Time: Enjoy time at leisure in Würzburg.

Day 8 | Bamberg

•Panoramic Bamberg Tour. Discover vibrant Bamberg aboard a coach, including whimsicalfisherman’s homes and Gothic-style buildings.

•Bamberg Walking Tour. Walk under the grand archway of the Obere Brücke, and admirebaroque mansions and the statue of Neptune.

•Culinary Delights. Nibble your way throughBamberg. Sample local specialties, including theBamberger Weck, smoked beer and more.

This morning, enjoy views along the DanubeRiver while the ship sails toward Regensburg.

Discovery: Picturesque Passau. Stroll by themedieval Veste Oberhaus, Niedernburg Abbey

Day 12 | Melk, Austria | Dürnstein

Discovery: Melk Abbey. Delight in a tour ofMelk’s Benedictine abbey, a baroque jewel.
