Sailor Moon Makeup Launch Crystal [email protected]
The Toronto launch is scheduled for Thursday, June 30th, 2016. 100 guests will arrive at 3pm. to mingle with approximately 10 media (print and bloggers). Dinner will follow at 6pm. The night will end with an exciting performance by A2D2 Aerial Dance Cirque Company.
To help promote the release of the Sailor Moon Live Action Movie, M.A.C. Cosmetics launch a make up line before the movie release. There will be 10 different makeup launch parties to be released throughout the year in different cities until the Movie launch on Friday, March 31st,2017. To start the excitement, we will launch Sailor Moon in Toronto as the first destination.
Guests at the Toronto launch include retail partners, media, senior executives from M.A.C. Cosmetics headquarters, and voice actors.

Location
Solarium at Polson PierSolarium is one of the most fun and recognizable party venues
during summer. This venue is made of entirely glass, giving the guests the ultimate view of the Ontario starry night.

Event Flow Guests will follow the red
carpet from outside to the elevator or up the staircase ending at the media station at the Great Hall. Media will arrive half an hour earlier than the guests to set up and be prepared to interview and take photos. Guests will then move to the Platinum Lounge for a cocktail reception. When 6pm arrives, guests will be escorted to the Glass Room for dinner. Media will depart as this time. Once dinner is finished, dessert hour will follow in the Platinum Lounge.

EntranceWhen guests
arrives at the first floor entrance, there will be a red carpet leading the guests up to the second floor. As the guests enters the second floor, there will be a set of Greek historical pillars on each side leading them to the media station. The pillars represents the Millennium Palace in Sailor Moon.

Many of the guests invited to this event are industry people, along with many MAC Cosmetics executives and employees. We have also extended our invites to celebrities and artists.

Media StationThe media station is set up in the Great Hall where there will be a step and repeat for our guests to have their photos taken and be interviewed by the media. Each guests that arrives will follow the red carpet to the step and repeat. The step and repeat is by the corner and with a simple backdrop of MAC Cosmetic and Sailor Moon logo repeated. This normally takes about 5 minutes per guests. Once they are finished, our security will escort them to the cocktail reception.
Platinum LoungeThe cocktail reception takes place in the Platinum Lounge after guests pass through the Media Station. Guests will once again see similar décor as the entrance inside the Platinum Lounge. They will be greeted by our cosplay staffs with hors d'oeuvres and specialty drinks. Guests can interact with one another or visit one of the different make-up stations to view demonstrations of the new makeup by our make-up artists.

The bar will serve signature drinks that represents the different characters from Sailor Moon throughout the event.
Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will be served inside the Platinum Lounge. Guests will be served Japanese finger foods.

There will be small make-up stations using our newly released make-up. The guests will see make-up demonstrations by our M.A.C. make-up artists from Toronto.

Dinner Dinner is starts at 6pm until 9pm. Guests will have a 5 meal plated dinner. There will be several speeches made by the company and guests speakers throughout the dinner, along with a short orchestra performance by Serasymphony by iconiQ.

Floor PlanWe will be using 72” round tables, that seats 10 people per table. There will be a 5’ft spacing between the tables and an extra 10’ft spacing to allow the staff to move freely.
At the front of the tables, there will be a mini stage with a 10’ft distance between the stage and tables.

Centrepiece & FloralRed carnations will be used
to create the three large sphere of carnations on top of cylinder vases to make it
look free standing. The sphere of carnations
represents planets of the different characters and
they will be connected by steel grass. In the dark this will look like a solar system,
as the vases will be lit by different LED cubes inside
with water.
There will be mini cylinder vases with
mini spheres of carnations placed
around the centrepiece to
represent distance stars. These vases will also be lit from
inside.

Napkins will be made into a bow just like Sailor Moon’s uniform with her power device in the middle. This will be placed behind the chair. While the white napkin will be at the table. Sailor Moon’s power
device will be made with a thick card stock. The table linen will be the Indigo Crushed Iridescent Taffeta as this linen gives a wondrous texture to represent the night sky.

Guests will be able to enjoy an interactive play by our cosplayed staff who will serve them as the different characters from the movie. Guests will see a orchestra performance by SeraSymphony during dinner and an Aerial Act at dessert hour by A2D2 Aerial Dance Cirque Company. A2D2 performers will pass out gift bags along with the staff members during their performance. All performers will also be in cosplay costumes.

Crystal Li is currently a student enrolled in the Event Management – Event & Exhibit Design Graduate Program at Seneca College. She graduated from the University of Toronto with an Honours Bachelors of Arts. She is working towards becoming a wedding planner in the near future.
She discovered her passion and inspiration through the Disney Fairytale Weddings blog . She recalled going on their blog every day, looking at the various wedding events and hoping that one da, she would also have a wedding at the Disney theme park. After following their blog for a long time, she uncovered her passion to become a wedding planner. Another secret dream of hers is to be a part of the Disney Wedding planning team. However, without the knowledge of the event planning industry, she knew she would not survive, and decided to study an event planning program.
In 2010, She participated in University of Waterloo’s Charity Fashion Show. This year, she will be working on the Bloor Street Entertains event, the Premier’s Awards for Colleges Ontario, and Seneca Graduation Fashion Show.
As a naturally creative individual, she enjoys designing, developing and bringing ideas to life. Her inspirations for designs come from fashion, beauty, art and events. She has natural interpersonal/leadership skills, a head for organization, a knack for creative thinking and an eye for aesthetics.
