In 1992, only 5 percent of the population was over 65; whereas today there are 125 million people (9 percent of the population) are over this age. Designing environments for the Chinese that are culturally appropriate can be a challenge for international design firms that bring their own experiences and expertise. A panel of Architects, engineers and Developers identify the good and bad things of contemporary design to understand what we should do more of and less of in the future.

Does  design  improve  your  health?  Does  natural  venFlaFon  make  you  be`er?  Can  daylight  improve  your  chances  of  survival?  Do  architects  rely  too  much  on  research  –  and  junk  science  –  to  jusFfy  their  work?
