    SOTC partnered with MCGM (Municipal Corporation of GreaterMumbai) and made an inspirational public service commercial withthe theme of 'Keep Mumbai Clean'.

    The Film addresses the citizens of Mumbai to treat the city as their

    own home and consequently to work towards a cleaner Mumbai.

    SOTC partnered with Incredible Indias Keep the Country CleanCampaign and decided to take the message across the country.

    SOTC recognizes the fact that for the city to progress and move

    ahead, citizens need to protect, conserve and enhance theenvironment that we live in.

    Small Steps Asha Daan: Home for abandoned, handicapped children, the

    destitute and people affected by AIDS (HIV positive).

    Ankur: A centre for special education for handicapped children agedbetween 5 and 15 years, opened in 1993 to provide educational,vocational and recreational activities. These physically and mentallychallenged children are taught skills such as cookery, painting,

    embroidery, bamboo crafts, weaving, stitching, depending on theiraptitudes to make them self-reliant.

    Project Shakti : The objectives of Project Shakti are to create income-generating capabilities for underprivileged rural women by providing asustainable micro enterprise opportunity, and to improve rural living

    standards through health and hygiene awareness.

    Vindya Valley: In 2002, project with MP Govt to engage entrepreneursin agro processing and cottage industries. ULL helped create'Vindhya Valley', a food products brand and support software for itsmarketing, manufacturing and distribution. It also helped set uppermanent handicraft fairs across top cities and towns

    Khamgaon: Its Rural Education Programme, which aims at usingaudio-visual aids, like video cassettes and CDs. These tools enableteachers to explain basic concepts in mathematics, like operation onnumbers, fractions, algebra and geometry, to primary school childrenin villages.

    Integrated Rural Development (IRD) Programme: In 1976, the IRDProgramme started with 30 villages and extends to 500 villages. Thebasic activity is rural development -- implementation of programmestowards activities such as farmers' training, health of villagers,infrastructure development, improvement in productivity and health ofcattle. The project is now being undertaken jointly with Nutricia India(which has acquired HLL's dairy operations) and for certain health

    programmes, with government-run Primary Health Centres andthrough autonomous bodies, known as Samitis.

    Raahat Ek Abhiyaan

    Godrej Ezee Raahat Ek Abhiyaan fulfilled its commitment for thewelfare of society through the winter-wear donation drive.

    On January 16, 2009 Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL),conducted the distribution of winter clothes to the needy, under itsGodrej Ezee Rahaat Ek Abhyaan program, with celebrity. Theinitiative, in its fourth year, is known for providing relief to the needy

    and lesser privileged. In the past three years Godrej Ezee Raahat Ek Abhiyaan has been

    organised in Delhi and the NCR region. This year, around 100collection centres were created and a whopping 10 lakh woolengarments were collected from Delhi NCR.

    GCPL, along with Rotary and Goonj, has thus taken a step in the

    right direction with 'Raahat - Ek Abhiyaan' and through this initiativeintend to reach out to as many poor and needy as possible.

    The collected winter wear has been distributed by Rotary to theneedy in Delhi and by Goonj to 21 villages outside Delhi.

    Pranay Milan

    Shaadi.com associated itself with the Delhi Foundation of DeafWomen (DFDW) to extend support for Pranay Milan Sammelan2007, their unique annual Swayamwar for the hearing impaired.

    The Sammelan brought together hearing-impaired applicants fromall over the country.

    This initiative enabled hearing impaired boys and girls to find theirlife partners in an environment which allowed them to mingle andpresent themselves before their suitors.

    The collection and sorting process was done by DFDW in a highlyorganised manner. Shaadi.com was associated with this noblecause too.

    It provided them the maximum support through online promotions.

    Children Fund

    Tupperware establishes charitable alliances with non-profitorganisations offering solution-based, life-enhancing programmesand resources that have positive impact on children and families.In India, money from the proceeds of each sale of Tiwi Munch goestowards this noble cause.

    Another social initiative is the Tupperware Charitable Dispensary inGurgaon, managed by Quota International, an NGO. The dispensaryprovides medical services and free medicines to underprivilegedpeople living in the nearby areas.
