CST LIVING LEARNING COMMUNITY (CST LLC)FAMU’s Living-Learning Communities (LLCs) provide a holistic and diverse style to student growth and education. Our residents live in housing facilities which support these ideals through academic partnerships, service-learning opportunities and in-hall education. The CST LLC seeks to enhance student academic performance and interest in STEM careers. Students in the CST LLC will form strong bonds with fellow students and faculty members by participating in a variety of academic, community service, and social activities. Corportate partners interact with CST LLC participants in fun and engaging activities to develop professonal relationships and enhance soft skills.
FAMU/FAU MEDICAL SCHOLARS PROGRAMFAMU/FAU MSP introduces undergraduate premedical students to problem-based learning (PBL) in order to stimulate independent and self-directed learning as well as develop problem solving skills, team building, communication and leadership skills. Introducing and developing these skills in the undergraduate student will provide additional skills and experience as they transition to any medical school including the Charles Schmidt College of Medicine where the medical curriculum places an emphasis on PBL as a core component of student instruction.
THE FAMU - CIS INTEL SCHOLARSStudent Success Assurance Program is a program funded by Intel to provide students with professional development activities, leadership and soft skills enhancements, and community service involvement. FAMU - CIS Intel Scholars benefit from ongoing development during their Intel internships that prepare them for careers post-graduation. Working on exciting ground-breaking projects, sessions with executives, workshops on resume writing, and interview coaching are all part of Intel's Scholars Program.
CERTIFICATE IN CYBERSECURITY AND MINOR IN CYBERSECURITYCybersecurity spans every aspect of the national economy and public life. The expanding U.S. job market for cybersecurity professionals crosses all disciplines. To address this need, FAMU offers the cybersecurity certificate to non-degree seeking students and to students in the Department of Computer & Information Sciences.
