In association with the popular Cottage Sessions, students from the PULSE project perform under the canopy in a series of 15 minute live music sessions with a special performance from Foyle Deaf Association Choir.

The award winning Playhouse has a night of free tours and talks for you and your family to enjoy.

5pm - 8pm: See ballet workshops with the Mary Hill School of Ballet Dance.6pm - 8pm: Take part in an art class with The Playhouse Painters. 5pm - 9pm: Tours of the historic ‘B1 listed buildings’ (UK BURA Award Winner).

Exhibition documenting ‘We’re Here Because We’re Here’ where thousands of volunteers participated in a UK-wide contemporary memorial to mark the centenary of the Battle of the Somme. Commissioned by 14 - 18 NOW. Conceived and created by Turner Prize-winning artist JEREMY DELLER in collaboration with RUFUS NORRIS, Director of the National Theatre.

Upgrade TCG is one of the biggest Trading Card Game organisations situated right at home in the Foyle Arena on Friday Nights! For Culture Night, we’re running an o¤cial Pokémon League Challenge and a Yu-Gi-Oh! Tournament. Magic fans can still show up and take part in Friday Night Magic. If you’ve never played, we have experts and competitors on hand to teach you how! Parents - get involved and play in a tournament against your kids! Antarctica - World Blocks Creative writing workshops exploring this unique wilderness which is also home to cutting edge science.

America - Fake News Explore the world of media while inventing and presenting your own ‘FAKE’ news to camera with the Verbal School of Journalism.

Visit Europe - Gothic TransylvaniaStories from this region and an opportunity to recreate gorgeous landscape using finger painting.

Africa Journey through story, movement and rhythm, and have a go on the Djembe drums.

World Stories - Flash Fiction Reading Rooms Volunteers present an exciting mix of international contemporary and classic flash fiction from Brecht to Lydia Davis, Kafka, Etgar Keret, Jansson, David Sedaris and many others.
