Director, Instrumentation & Technical Services, (September 1993-June 2017)
Consists of two departments:
Instrumentation & Model Facility (IMF) - IMF designs, develops, fabricates and services custom research
instruments for the University of Vermont, other universities, non-profit state and health organizations, and
Vermont emerging technology companies.
Technical Services Partnership (TSP) - TSP provides healthcare technology management assistance and
direct technical services to thirty-two hospitals in Vermont, New York and New Hampshire. Grew departments twenty-fold to $7.5 million annual budget, 53 employees responsible for 75,000 medical
devices and over 150 prototypes designed and fabricated annually.
Develop and administer internships in clinical engineering - 41 students from Argentina, Colombia, Peru,
Trinidad & Tobago, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, and other nations have completed 4-6 month practicums.
Over 50 US student interns from University of Vermont and other national biomedical engineering programs
completed work experiences.
