Product ordering was time-consuming and costly and relied on manual intervention to ensure that the rightproducts were ordered and available where they were needed.
The process required the customer to manage its product suppliers through varied and disconnected reports. The interface offered limited search functionality with insufficient content information, leading to order errors,
user frustration, and reliance of manual processes.
THE SOLUTIONThrough a joint project integrating the Turtle & Hughes Digital Catalog with the customer’s Marketplace, we streamlined the ordering process. Working together, we deployed a new end-to-end integrated process allowing for the automation of the online product listing, order processing and confirmation, as well as shipment notification and invoicing.
Turtle & Hughes deployed two Catalog options. With the first option, we provided content to the customer’s new Marketplace. The other leveraged Turtle.com for unique content allowing the customer the ability to do additional product and pricing research outside of the its Marketplace.
THE OUTCOME 100 percent of the customer’s routine transactions are now made through the Marketplace for Turtle & Hughes products. EDI feeds now leverage non-routine purchases allowing for enhanced visibility and accountability. Fully attributed and searchable content on the Marketplace platform provides a unified buying experience.

We offer end-to-end visibility on overall spend through our analytics portal.
