Imagining To be Captain Star 1. Teacher draws the pupils’ attention by sticking the ‘Captain Star’ sticker on her shirt, pretends to be Captain Star and asks the pupils whether they want to be Captain Star.

2. Pupils say ‘Yes’ aloud.

3. Teacher distributes star stickers to everyone and instructs them to stick it on their shirts.

4. Pupils stick the star sticker on their shirts.

5. Teacher tells them that they are ‘Captain Star’ now.

6. Pupils shout ‘Captain Star!’ together, loudly.

To create interest and curiosity

towards the lesson and to draw pupils’

Identifying Telescopes and Satellites through pictures and video.

1. Teacher shows pictures of telescopes and satellites to the pupils and gives some explanations to them.

2. Pupils see the pictures and listen to the teacher’s explanations.

3. Teacher plays a short video clip on the orbiting of a satellite around the earth.

4. Pupils watch the video and answer teacher’s questions.

Production‘Make Your Own Telescope’

1.Teacher distributes a plastic bag to each group that consist of parts of telescope.

2.Pupils receive the plastic bag and get ready to do the telescope.

3.Teacher tells step by step procedures in making the telescope.

4.Pupils follow the teacher’s instruction and take turn to complete each step.

5.After completing, teacher instructs them to look outside through the telescope.

6.Pupils look outside and tell the teacher what they can see.

To get pupils to be proactive and to put

their interest into inventions.

Closure(+ 5

mins)Recap by singing a song entitled ‘The Telescope Song’

1. Teacher flashes the lyric of a song in the powerpoint and teaches them how to sing.

2. Pupils listen and sing aloud with the teacher.

3. Teacher instructs them to do some gestures and to hold the telescope while singing.

To end the lesson with some

excitement.
