STRUGGLING FAMILIES WILL LOSE VITAL SERVICES

What will your money do?With over one hundred families accessing Daisy Chain services each week your money is vital to keep these services running.

What your donation can do:- £5 provides an activity session for a child- £20 provides an hour of specialist 1:1 support - £40 would pay for a family to access a month of activities - £300 pays for a weekend activity day- £1000 would pay for a care worker to support our families for three months

Donate now! Support our crucial work across the Tees Valley with families affected by autism.

are full and with families constantly being referred to us, we know that what we are providing is needed.”

However, with a significant decrease in donations and rising costs, Daisy Chain is struggling to cope with the growing demand on resources.

Keith Walker and his family regularly access services at Daisy Chain. He said: “We tried life without Daisy Chain and it was awful. Harry wasn’t able to cope in so many situations, going shopping, even visiting the park and family life

became increasingly difficult. After finding Daisy Chain, we now have somewhere to go. Harry feels at home there and I relax completely when we arrive. His brother, Max, also accesses the Siblings Support Group. It has changed our family dynamic, I feel supported and I am thankful for Daisy Chain.”

Matt concluded: “We are asking individuals, the community and businesses to help support the crucial work that Daisy Chain is doing.”

“We are determined to grow and continue to build on our success - we must meet the needs of our families. With this in mind, we are appealing to the local community.”

If you can help in any way, then please get in touch.

Daisy Chain works with families affected by autism. We make a demonstrable, significant and sustainable difference to the lives of our families.

With more than a 600% increase in the number of families and young people affected by autism accessing a range of services at Daisy Chain every week, the growing demand is leading to a strain on resources.

Matt Simpson, Chief Executive at Daisy Chain, said: “We want to provide these services to our families, we are acutely aware of the need that is out there across the Tees Valley. Our social clubs have waiting lists, our parent services

WHY DONATE?

The journey so far has been an exciting one and we are truly grateful to so many individuals and organisations for their support.

We have achieved so much, but there is still so much to do... we can’t see families struggle, can you?

Help us, help our families. Make a one off donation, pledge regular support, sign up for an event, whatever you can do, do it now.

Daisy Chain is a unique charity based in Teesside.

Our vision is to improve the lives of families affected by autism in the Tees Valley.

Autism is a serious, lifelong and disabling condition. Without the right support, it can have a profound, sometimes devastating effect on individuals and families.

It’s much more common than many people think. There are over half a million people in the UK with autism - that’s around 1 in 100. If you include their families, autism touches the lives of over two million people every day.

Since setting up the charity in 2003, we have developed a unique centre in Norton, Stockton which includes a dedicated day centre, working farm and services which cater for the whole family. Matt Simpson

SUPPORTDAISYCHAINDaisy Chain is a unique charity that addresses the needs of children on the autistic spectrum and their families. The charity provides a range of services, including support and activity groups for the whole family from our 5.5 acre farm in Norton.

Autism has a huge impact on, not just the individual, but the wider family, so we look holistically at the needs of each member of the family. Autism can be isolating; it makes relating to other people, taking part in everyday family life and interacting with others a real struggle.

We work with our children in a safe, fun and friendly environment, teaching them new skills to help them deal with life outside Daisy Chain.

Our parents and carers are given the opportunity to receive additional support,

respite or talk to people who are in the same situation as them. Our siblings can come and interact with other children who are affected by autism.

Daisy Chain relies on the support of businesses, the community and individuals. With more than 1 in 100 people in the Tees Valley diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) we provide vital support to families who are struggling to deal with the daily issues of raising and supporting a child with ASC.

Uniquely, we are in a position to offer individuals and groups the opportunity to come and work with us, on site at the farm, and see first hand the vital work we do with our families and the positive impact the activities that we provide have on our childrens’ lives.
