Daniel was one who maintained his allegiance to God until his passing breath.
An illustrious example of what men may become when they are united with
the God of wisdom and power. He was a Jew of royal lineage and was taken to
the most magnificent of cities and into the court of the world's greatestmonarch. He had no blemish, but well favored, and skillful in all wisdom, and
cunning in knowledge, and understanding science. Eventually he would
become second in command of the Babylonian and Media Persian empires.
God gave him the gift of prophecy, making him a prophet whose prophecies
were written for the end time. These prophecies were designed to prepareGods people to pass the last great test. In addition, his writings state in
emphatic and in unequivocal language that Gods people will reflect Gods
Character to the universe under the most severe circumstances. And then the
end comes.

Nebuchadnezzar the second king of neo Babylon was the instrument God used
to inflict His wrath upon impenitent Judah. He was a tyrannical and diabolical
king who reigned in absolutes. Pride saturated his ego. His choreography was
designed to dance to the tunes of ruthlessness and cunning. Self-indulgence,
wrong ambition, a spirit of jealousy and defiance to the Creator would
eventually be his downfall. The messages of warning from God was spurned by
this mighty ruler, hence God stripped him of his power and drive him from his
kingdom. Nebuchadnezzar "did eat grass as oxen, and his body was wet withthe dew of heaven, till his hairs were grown like eagles' feathers, and his nails
like birds' claws.

Seven years of punishment for this king would include loss of reason. After the
time of his punishment his reason was restored and, looking up in humility to
the God of heaven, he recognized the divine hand in his chastisement. In a
public proclamation he acknowledged his guilt and the great mercy of God in
his restoration. "At the end of the days," he said, "I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up
mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I
blessed the Most High, and I praised and honored Him that liveth forever,
whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and His kingdom from generationto generation: and all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and
He doeth according to His will in the army of heaven, and among the
inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay His hand, or say unto Him, What
doest Thou?

This public proclamation, in which Nebuchadnezzar acknowledged the mercy
and goodness and authority of God, was the last act of his life recorded in
sacred history. His autobiography was place in sacred scripture to remind all
rulers (Pastors, Rulers of countries, Leaders, Managers, Head of departments
and Head of household) that they need to learn, that true greatness consists in
true goodness and benevolence.

1. There are twelve (12) Chapter primarily divided into two (2)
sections.
2. These two sections are known as the narrative (chapters 1-6)
and visions (chapter 7-12 prophetic portion).
3. Each narrative finds its pinnacle where Gods true worshipers
are elevated, and each vision (prophecy) culminates with the
establishment ofGods Kingdom.

4. The first chapter or prologue introduce all the theme that the
rest of the book expands on.
5. The last chapter or epilogue draws all the themes and sub-
themes and amalgamate them. This joining of the themesestablishes a union between God and His church which will
never be broken again.
6. While chapters 2, 7 and 8 presents symbols and give theirinterpretations, all apocalyptic (revelation, an unveiling or unfolding ofthings not previously known and which could not be known apart from the
unveiling through symbolism ) symbolism cease in the midst of
chapter 8:14. Hence chapter 8:14 is the high point of
symbolism of the book of Daniel.

Daniel means God is my Judge
Daniel is the major author of the book that
bears his name while Nebuchadnezzar is theminor author.
The book is divided into two sections, the

Narrations tell us how to prepare for the
