We are decorating a Christmas tree with gift cards to be given to the congregation on Sunday evening, Dec. 20th, in time for Christmas shopping. If you would like to participate, purchase a gift card (Walmart, Tar-get, Publix, etc.) and bring it to the church by Sunday morning, Dec. 20th, and place it in one of the stockings on the tree in the south narthex. Make sure the amount of the gift card is indicat-ed. Monetary donations will also be accepted. Write “Christmas tree” on the memo line of your check to indicate the purpose of your donation. Thank you in advance for your generosity!
PRESCHOOL UPDATES
We hope that everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving break. Our Thanksgiving lunch was
wonderful. The food was delicious! Thanks to everyone that donated food and their time. It
is always special for the students to have their families come join us. We will have our
Christmas Program on Thursday, December 17 at 12:30. A special thank you to all the
church members that work with the preschool to make this a special event. December 17
will also be our last day of school before the holidays. Classes will resume on January 6,
2016. We wish everyone a very Merry Christmas!
Robin Vaughn, Director
Join us Sundays at 9:30am for morning coffee, treats and fel-lowship in the reception area before we go into worship.
The Vision Team has been working hard to look at the future of our church. They have looked at our Statement of Faith to define who we are and our Mission State-ment to state what we are going to ac-complish. In this stage we will begin
looking at the programs and ministries of our church asking if they help us accomplish our mission. With the approval of the 2016 budget, we will be concentrating on how to integrate an Associate Pastor into our ministries. Everyone is welcome to attend, bring input, and participate in the discussions. Contact Pastor Pete for more information.
The monthly prayer group will meet at 5pm on December 13th in the sanctuary.

Community Church Women (CCW)
Another one of our November activities was scheduled for Thursday, November 19th, at 11am at the church. Tim Ryan (a professional florist and friend to many at our church) returned with his usual informative, amusing, and expert demonstrations to help us all create our own special holi-day wreath/center piece to take home. We had a lot of folks out of town, but were delighted at the 12 who showed up with food for our potluck lunch, and for a fun-filled time as we all individually decorated our own creations. Kindness also was abounding when Robin and Tim each donated their creations to two of our friends who had to cancel at the last minute. What a great group we have.
As usual, pictures of our CCW events are available in the reception area at the church.
Check out all of our activities in pictures and join us for our next special event:
Our Annual (short meeting and) Christmas Luncheon will be held on Monday, December 14th at 11:00am at Stinky's Restaurant on CR-30A. Your female family members and friends are invited to this exciting time together. Please respond to our computer Evite and/or sign up at the Church in the Reception Area. We need to know how many will be attending in order to set up enough tables and chairs. Lunch is “pay your own way.” The rest is offered free of charge by some of the free-spirited elves of the CCW.
Wear your Christmas attire to add to a great time together. Hope to see you all there!!!
