It’s getting closer…. On this third Sunday of Advent, also called Gaudete Sunday, there is much joy. When we light the pink candle in the Advent wreath, it announces the our Redeemer and
Savior is about to arrive. That is why we must be prepared personally and spiritually to receive the King of Kings. There are many ways we can prepare ourselves personally and spiritually for this great arrival. One way is by doing works of Mercy and this next Friday the 21st and Saturday the 22nd of December we can help prepare and distribute 300 boxes of food that we will take to the most needy of our community. This will be done through the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul and its Christmas food boxes program. Many thanks to all those who, in one way or another, have assisted with the collection of the food that will be distributed and thanks to all those who are planning to come and help. Another way to prepare ourselves spiritually is to pray as a family during the Advent season around the table and the Advent wreath. It is important to pray together as we are expecting the arrival of the Christ Child in our homes and in our lives. May the approaching Christmas Day and the Star of Bethlehem that announces His birth, shine in each of you. Merry Christmas! Ya está acerca… En este tercer Domingo de Adviento, también llamado Domingo de Gaudete que quiere decir alegría/regocijo y donde encedemos la vela color rosada en la corona de adviento que nos anuncia que ya se acerca que ya está por llegar Nuestro Redentor y Salvador. Es por eso que debemos estar preparados personalmente y espiritualmente para recibir al Rey de Reyes. Hay muchas maneras de como podemos prepararnos personalmente y espiritualmente para esta gran llegada, una de ellas es haciendo obras de Misericordia y este próximo Viernes 21 y Sábado 22 de Diciembre nos podrán ayudar a preparar y repartir 300 cajas de comida que llevaremos a los más necesitados de nuestra comunidad con el apoyo de San Vicente De Paul y su programa de cajas navideñas. Gracias a todos los que de una u otra manera han cooperado con parte de la comida que se repartirá y a todos los que ya han planeado venir a ayudar. Otra manera de prepararnos espiritualmente es orando en familia durante este tiempo de Adviento alrededor de la mesa y la corona de adviento. Es importante estar en familia unidos reazando y así esperar la llegada del Niño Jesús en nuestros hogares y en nuestras vidas. Que esta Navidad que se acerca y la estrella que anuncia su Nacimiento, brille en cada uno de ustedes. ¡Feliz Navidad!

Today there is greater acceptance of cremation as an alternative form of burial, an option that allow churches to open their doors to their members for this same sacred sanctuary, giving them a more intimate and spiritually
satisfying alternative for interment, in the lasting peace and dignity of their church. A Columbarium is a beautiful bronze vault in which are placed the cremated remains, the ashes, of the faithful.

On Friday Dec. 21 Christmas boxes will be packed in the gym at
9:45 am. Then on Saturday, Dec. 22 the boxes will be
delivered starting at 9:00 am.

Third Sunday of Advent: In today’s Gospel John the Baptist says, “Whoever has two cloaks should share with the person who has none. And whoever has food
should do likewise…” Christmas is a time of love and gift giving…please share your abundance by giving a gift to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul so that those who do not have clothes and food can share in the blessings of Christmas. Tercer Domingo de Adviento: En el Evangelio de hoy, Juan el Bautista dice: “Quien tiene dos capas debe compartir con la persona que no tiene ninguna. Y quien tiene comida debería hacer lo mismo...” La Navidad es un tiempo de amor y regalos... por favor comparta su abundancia dando una donación a la Sociedad de San Vicente de Paúl para que aquellos que no tienen ropa y comida puedan compartir las bendiciones de la Navidad.
