This actually happened!!!!!!!! They dressed the truck up with the guy tied down on the roof. The driver and passengers put on Moose heads. Then they went down the toll road Interstate, causing 16 accidents.
Yes, they went to jail... Yes, alcohol was involved...
This proves that men cannot be left alone.
Fishing report for December 2012 - January 2013
With summer starting to turn up, the winter spawning rivers are now finally slowing down
with good dry fly fishing on the rivers in the afternoon/evenings now with some brown
and green beetle about. You would have to think that the cicadas will be hatching soon if
the heat carries on and well worth casting a cicada fly when the singing is good.
Mixing up dry flies on dark and at night on the rivers between black, brown and green
dry flies to see what the fish are taking on the night is the key as there are mayflies,
caddis and stoneflies of different colours hatching at the moment – black, brown and
green mayflies and of course blue-dun and lace-moths will be about too.
The summer nymphing and wet lining in the rivers is still worth a go in the mornings with
the green and brown woolly buggers on the sinking line and the hare-coppers and
pheasant tails and green, white and brown caddis with also black, green and brown
stonefly nymphs to mix it up depending on what is hatching at the time.
The summer lake and river mouth fishing will soon be happening as the smelt come into
the shallows to spawn over summer. With the warm water use smelt flies during the day
and black flies and lumo’s at night at the river mouths will be worth a go. The boat
fishing on Taupō should be picking up soon with some smelt being in deep places but the
fish on the lake still seem to be handy to find. Moving around is the key to finding them
with the smelt flies and lures.
Tight lines everybody and good luck
Stephen de Malmanche.
