This magical celebration of crowd-pleasing entertainment will be a nostalgic walk down memory lane this year with a theme of LOVELAND. If you have a pair of flairs hiding at the back of your wardrobe, this will be the time to air them out while wandering among the minstrels and other performers. You never know what you are going to experience at Buskers but you do know that you will enjoy rare talent from performers who are so passionate about their craft. A return favourite this year will be the floating skateboard ramp in the creek with professional skate and BMX displays over the weekend. As the first festival on the Coast to use a waterway as its central stage, Buskers regularly attracts artists from every corner of the globe eager to sample Gold Coast and share its growing reputation as an arts and culture capital. But this is where Buskers really shines with its relaxed and informal vibe living up to the ideal of Gold Coast’s lifestyle reputation. Some of the treats this year will be the Space Cowboy who thrilled audiences at Australia’s Got Talent, Bendy Em who fits herself into spaces you won’t believe. And then there’s a unicycling unicorn coming across from Canada among hundreds of others showcasing their unique gifts. So, if you want to share the love, bring yourself and plenty of tipping cash to reward the performers and create memories that will remind you for years to come that LOVELAND was THE place to be in mid-October 2019. BENDY EMThis pint-sized entertainer will have you on the edge of your seat as she comedically bends and contorts her body into freakily mind-boggling positions.
If you want to see something memorable and entirely out of the norm, watch Bendy Em squeeze herself into a tiny 16" perspex box balanced on a 7ft rig.
A bright rainbow vintage onesie ski suit, 80’s music and a unicorn riding a 12-foot unicycle. Yes, it's as crazy, funny and ridiculous as it sounds! Featuring unbelievable unicycle skills by a world champion unicyclist.
For his brand new finale, this daredevil will be on top of one of the tallest unicycles in the world juggling a torch, a knife and a surprise dangerous object that has killed more people than sharks last year!
SPACE COWBOYHot from his appearance on Australia’s Got Talent, this Sideshow celebrity is a prolific world record holder with over 50 to his name. One of the most innovative sword swallowers alive today, he performs an ever expanding list of side show stunts as well as elite circus skills including his world champion, dangerous 3m unicycle finale.
SLIPS & THE FW'SSlips and the Flamin’ Whippersnappers are an eclectic collection of musicians from the Gold Coast and Brisbane who love to reignite the spark and charm of Old Time Blues, Jazz, Swing and Ragtime tunes. Formed by Dracula’s long time Guitarist and Musical Director ‘David Kume’, Slips & The F.W.’s have gradually accumulated musicians to their act featuring members of the Dracula’s cast/crew from past to present - their own Vintage style is guaranteed to make you shake a leg!

The “Girls Skate Gold Coast” crew will be kick flipping it up on the floating half-pipe, including the talented Emily Kafoa, Mistie Mildenhall, Taniah Myers, Haylie Powell, Christina Lai, Izzy McPherson, Maddy Mcpherson, Chloe Coveland & Maddie Pease.

Gold Coast’s own Fiik had a dream to revolutionise skateboards and have been a trusted brand since 2010. Not only are they demo-ing over the weekend on the water, they’re parked up near stage 3 and are offering everyone the chance to test their electrics.

KIKI BITTOVABITSCHKiki Bittovabitsch is a “Hilaritarian” – using comedy to make the world a happier place through unexpected, hilarious entertainment experiences. Kiki uses comedy to really connect with people and really connect people to each other. The outcome is a moment of freedom in our busy society, one full of openness and acceptance across cultures, generations and class. Most importantly, Kiki stimulates the sound of people laughing hysterically together in shared joy – best noise ever!
TRISTAN O ’MEARAO’Meara won countless fans back in 2014 and 2015 and for the first time, this legendary busker will break new ground by setting up a makeshift worksite on Saturday to bring his amazing didgeridoo-making skills to the public stage. The roots and folk music magician will also officially close the festival when he takes to the Balter Brewery stage for ‘An Intimate Night with Tristan O’Meara’ on Sunday, October 20. Tickets available via our website and at our information caravan until sold out.
KIKI & PASCALTake a highly skilled English Gentleman juggler and marry him to a Kazadorian* farm girl and you get the Kiki and Pascal experience.
This is a hilarious show about the journey of an unlikely couple that will make you laugh, in both good and bad ways, as they invite you into their lives through a series of beautiful and highly skilled variety acts including acrobatics, singing, juggling, contortion and magic.
*Kazador is a small European country, so small that since Kiki left it, she cannot find it again. It is like they took it clean off the map.
THE GREAT DAVEThe Great Dave’s obsession with tea has led him to abandon his country’s traditional poise & execute a trick “rarely seen outside of The Chinese State Circus”.
His show, “Tea For Two” serves you the perfect blend of high skilled improvisation and comedy. Milk and two sugars, three metres in the air, on one wheel, balanced on a pole or kicked in the air and caught on his head?
MELON THE HUMANJust fresh from working for Cirque du Soleil, Melon's back and once again this awkward witted performer intends on luring fellow humans to his location through the thing we all love, circus!
Specialising in object manipulation, Melon has left audiences around the world stunned with his juggling finesse of unique objects including the broom and cube.
