could have the opportunity to

people w e have g r ow n t o love

dearly. My feelings are so strong as I think of

leaving them.

Christ

may

dwell in their hearts

through

faith;

and they being rooted

and

grounded

in love may be

able

to comprehend.. .and

know the

love of Christ. . .and that th ey may be filled

up

to all the fulness of

God.

These

were our Sunday

School

teachers

when

we

began

the

Sunday School program

last

year. We

have

lost a

few

mainly Mom and Dad

and gained

tw o since

then.

At present we ar e

get ti ng ready

to

train

more

people

to

help.

Please pray

that

more people

will

feel

th e Lord call ing

them

to minister in this

way.

believers in January of 86 we grew

in numbers and this picture was taken in

of 88.

The Greencroft area of Harare is ripe fo r

harvest

now. As we

are praying

is

sending two of

their

young men to

th e Zimbabwe

Christian College

in fvtay 88

fo r

training to

be ministers

of

th e

gospel.

This is Tony

and

Maria

Carvahlo. They

are

a

Portugese couple who beg an a tte nd in g a lmos t

two years ago. Being strong

Catholics

for many

yea rs , yet never feeling satisfied,

they came

upon

an i nv ita tio n f rom ano th er m em ber

o f

th e

Greencroft

Church. Soon they realized

what they

had been missing was Bible S tu dy a nd a New

Testament fellowship.

They wer e

baptized and

became strong steady

taken the Prayer

Meeting

that

was

started in

our home

into theirs.

Being

hard

workers,

having

a

faith

an d tr us t many would

envy and

being

faithful

last Zimbabwe Zeal I thank God for Andy Andy

preached

a

sermon

during

th e

m o rn in g w o rs h ip

service.

He took ten minutes of Dad s sermon time and

spoke

on

th e

Christian s need

fo r

witnessing an d

did

a

very

good

job.

Andy

takes hi s O ieveis

this year.

the

four years of

high

very

difficult. If he doesn t do well he has

no

chance t o c on ti nu e hi s education. He is an

inteiligent

kid and

makes

very good grades.

has requested prayer several

times

because he

feels

Satan is trying to make him t hin k h is

increase

his faith his desire to serve Him and

continue

to guide his

future.

We really feel he will

be

one of

future

leaders

Zimbabwe.

Greetings

So much ha s

changed since

I left two years ago. Jeff and I returned to find th e church no longer

meeting in the living of t he h o us e bu t in a bi g

and

beautiful building. Instead of 15 adults the attendance is

around

100 Tw o of th e Bible college students are in charge of jr. youth

an d

do an excellent job. There are

even e n ou g h S un da y School teachers

an d

more. A lot of hard work ha s gone into Greencroft Christian

Church

in

th e

last two

years.

Th e

fruits of

t ha t w or k are evident everywhere.

Now

has

come. Mo m and

Da d have

gone b ac k t o

t h e S ta te s

and

Jeff

an d

I will t ak e t he ir

places as minister and

wife.

This

is no t th e work we

ha d

expected to be

doing

bu t we have adjusted

and a re e njoying

th e work.

We

ar e

enjoying getting to know th e people. They

ar e

such a pleasure to work with, eager to work

themselves. Please

keep

us in your

prayers.

Neither of us h a s m uc h e x pe r ie n ce in being a minister or a

minister s wife. The

church

has such potential pray t ha t G od will use all to our maximum. T ha nk y ou
