WELCOME TO We_Step 2015Welcome to the Booklet of the first conference of the year 2015.

We_Step 2015 is the National Conference for Executive Boards, Team Leaders, Team Members and Newbies of AIESEC in Spain.

This year, Granada has the pleasure to be the host city of this conference.

The conference, hosted on 6th, 7th and 8th March (2015) will surely shatter your preconceptions, being a few surprising and amazing days to learn and share.

We are super pleased to WELCOME you!!! to the national conference We_Step 2015 Granada.

AIESEC in Spain is defined as a global youth network that makes positive impact on society through leadership development experiences. As a network, we need to be connected with others, and conferences create the space to interact with other AIESEC’ers of the world.

In AIESEC Spain, we talk about the impact we want to do in the world. And we plan big projects to make possible this contribution to our society; and achieve this goal. But we can’t forget the ‘simple’ impact we can make on the people around us.

In this conference you will have the opportunity to inspire others with your words and your actions; people who will have the energy to change the world and who will be thankful to you. That is leadership too.

Reading is one of my biggest passion. While I’m doing it I try to travel outside my mind. Neverthless I love travelling and meet new cultures, people and places.

Sport my other passion and I wish I could run one marathon in Amsterdam or New York.

If I’m with people or friend, I’m trying dishes of other cultures, I will be very happy.

There is a triangle in my life. In one angle we have Spain, the land that raised me. Another angle belongs to Ireland and the Celtic culture, the culture that I fell in love with. And the final angle goes to the Netherlands, the land that is adopting me.This triangle helped me realise one of my passions, my love for cultures and languages. It has also defined my actions: helping others is a way to make the world a much better and closer (if possible) place.But there is something that is defining me since last year that I will never ever regret: I AM AN AIESECer, AND I WILL ALWAYS BE.

Travelling is my big passion. I had the pleasure to live amazing adventures around the world, that makes me the person who I am now, the way I think and act. It defines me.I wish I could visit all the countries.

Music is the most amazing thing in my life. It’s incredible the way it can make me feel. It’s not just my hobby, it’s more than I could ever try to even explain.

If you give me my guitar, my Nikon and a flight ticket, I would be the happiest person in the earth.

SAMANTHAGARZÓN FINANCE

I can seem a quiet person but actually I´m a nerve.I have a lot of ambitions in my life and I would like to go far in my professional career.

With AIESEC I´m getting it. I love travelling and the new challenges, for this reason I can´t be with you in the conference. I will be in Denmark living a GCDP!!!

If I had to say what I love, I would be “to take a good wine glass with my friends

I’ve always loved reading. I find magical the act of putting words together not only to express a message, but to move and cause a reflection.

I suppose it’s beacuse I grew up in a coastal town that I need to see the sea from time to time. It always helps me to clear my mind and to start again full of energy.

I would like to visit and explore far away places, but I am also very interested in visiting all the regions of Spain, which has a lot to offer and it seems to be forgotten sometimes.

If you arrive to the city by bus from the Airport, you’ll take out on “Av. Constitución” (3).From the train station (2), just walk 5 minutes to “Comedores Universitarios” (4).From the bus station (1), you need to take bus line SN1 (10 minutes) and take out in the stop Severo Ochoa - “Comedores Universitarios” (4). Then take the line 122. Take out in “Avenida Reyes Católicos 3”. After that, just walk 15 minutes.

Estimated Time: 40 minutes (by bus) + 15 minutes (walking).Bus Price: 1,40€

The first night, we will have a special dinner. We will have an international food to sense the diversity of AIESEC.

Every local committee has to bring the typical food and wear the popular customs of the country it represents.

There will be an OC Jury, who will choose the winner of the best traditional cuisine. So be creative and innovative. The winner will win a fantastic present.

First night of the conference, first party of the conference.

We will have an amazing party in the city of Granada (one of the biggest student cities of Spain) and we aren’t going to wear random customs, but we need something special.

So, we will wear different colors regarding the local committee you belong. You can wear a t-shirt, pants, shoes, a bracelet, earrings or anything of this color, bur you need to represent the power of your committee.
