Purpose of the Board• Guide the work of the Alliance• Maintain the independence of Alliance• Oversee the development of Alliance priorities• Ensure the Alliance is on a secure financial footing• Rotate the chairing of Alliance events• Set membership criteria• Approve (with Alliance staff) areas of joint work

conducted under the name of the Alliance• Agree work plan of staff and monitor performance
