Sei inglese? - Siete australiani? - Sono americani?

The Italian interrogative form is obtained by simply adding a question

mark at the end of the sentence, while in speech only the inflection of the voice

expresses a question.

Non sono italiano - Non sei inglese

Non siete australiani - Non sono americani

The Italian negative form is obtained by simply adding non = notto the

sentence, just before the verb.

"Essere" is an irregular verb and does not follow any pattern of conjugation

In Italian you don't usually need to use subject pronouns as it is the verb form

telling who is doing the action.

"Tu" is used informally. "Lei" is used formally and is both masculine and

feminine

"Egli, esso" and "Ella, essa" are used more in written Italian. Esso and Essaare used for things and animals.

MASCULINE OR FEMININE?

The nouns in Italian are either of masculine or of feminine gender.

Generally speaking, nouns ending in -O are masculine, nouns ending in -A are

feminine.

Please read carefully

1. By ordering a lesson, students needing assistance are allowed 3 e-mails. Replies to eache-mail will be sent withing 3 working days after receipt of the same. Replies to all thewritten activites must be sent by e-mail, according to what indicated by the teacherthroughout the lesson.

2. The teacher will acknowledge receipt of the same. If no acknowledgment is receivedwithin 2 working days after shipment, students should solicit the same.

3. Written correction of the activities and teachers feedback will be sent by the teacher bye-mail within 3 working days.

4. With the same, students will also receive a list of available dates and times for the 15minutes online conversation. Students will choose date and time and notify them to the

teacher. If, however, they have in the meantime been booked by another student, anupdated list will be sent.

5. At the agreed date and time, the teacher will call the student. The duration of the call willcalculated by the teacher starting from the moment the student answers the call.

6. Students must make sure Skype or Messenger have been installed and that they areworking, connected and ready for the conversation.

7. If at the agreed date and time students cannot proceed with the conversation, they willhave to notify the teacher by e-mail. An updated list will be sent. A new confirmation isrequired both by the student and the teacher (see point 4).

8. If at the agreed date and time, and without any prior notice, students do not answer thecall, they will get a notice by e-mail, together with an updated list of available dates andtimes. A new confirmation is required both by the student and the teacher (see point 4). Nofurther postponment of the conversation is allowed.

9. If the teacher and/or the student decide to interrupt the conversation for whateverreason, the student will receive by e-mail a new list of available dates and time, with detailsof the remaining time. A new confirmation is required both by the student and the teacher(see point 4).

10. If the line falls during the conversation, the teacher will immediately call the studentagain. It is understood that theconversation will continue for the remaining time. If, for

technical reasons, the teacher is unable to reach the student again, a new list of availabledates and time will be sent. A new confirmation is required both by the student and theteacher (see point 4).

11. We cannot take any responsibility for the bad quality of the audio. However, should itbe unacceptable, the teacher can decide to interrupt the conversation. In such case, a newlist of available dates and time will be sent. A new confirmation is required both by thestudent and the teacher (see point 4).

12. We will not in any way accept messages and conversation with immoral and/oroffensive contents. Any interruption of service caused by such contents is at teachersdiscretion and will not give students any right to claim refunds.
