Seeking to put God’s love into action, SGV Habitat for Humanity brings people together

to build homes, communities and hope.

building homes, building hopeABOUT THE DESIDERIO HOMES CAMPAIGNWhen the Desiderio Army Reserve Center was closed, the opportunity emerged to build quality affordable homes for low- income buyers. San Gabriel Valley Habitat for Humanity was chosen through the Desiderio Reuse Plan process to develop a new Pasadena bungalow courtyard with nine (9) single family homes.

We must raise $2,177,510 to complete all predevelopment requirements and construction. Pro bono services, donations of construction materials, and reuse of $338,000 from Habitat’s Fund for Humanity from 59 existing family mortgages round out the projected total project cost of $2,889,142.

SGV Habitat is committed to honoring the heroic military service exemplified by Reginald B. Desiderio for whom the Desiderio Army Reserve Center was named. Qualified low-income veterans are encouraged to apply.
