Facebook 'friends' might base a business decision (and elect to retain, or not retain you) on personal preferences and opinions you share on your personal Facebook account.
Hinshaw, as a default, recommends that attorneys not 'friend' clients and those you foresee as potential business clients, and instead defer to LinkedIn to retain those business relationships.
Remember, unless you use custom settings in Facebook to change every status update and photo posted as all information will be seen by a 'friended' client or potential future client.
